If you used silver backed copper foil then it would not show through the individual bits of glass

@@kerrycoulson370 Sea glass is matted by the sea and it's not seen so we'll when it's dry, but gives a bit of pinkish color.

@@SeaStainedGlass yes I know, I have a massive sea glass collection ,been collecting for decades, and have recently made a bowl by soldering using silver backed foil, it looks so much better than the copper because you cannot see it’s colour of course because it’s the same as the solder. Just an idea, of course if you intend to treat the final piece with copper patina then it’s perfect, same with black backed foil when using black patina 🤷🏻‍♀️
