The American dubbing of Spirited Away is quite excellent, but as with most foreign films, it's best to watch it in its original language with subtitles.

Well, I kind of agree but I think they used too much Disney actors and American voices in the english. Plus the dialogue, vocals and acting are better in Japanese, it's the only one I'm able to watch. Also did anyone think it was strange that haku was voiced by a 12 year old boy in the Japanese version but he was voiced by a 27 year old man in the English version? I mean there was supposed to be a love story between chihiro and haku right?

I saw the movie in english ( just 30 minutes) and in jpn and portuguese-brasil. The english version is so weird! The haku voice is wrong, very very wrong. In japanese is perfect, and the portuguese dubbing match with the movie.

Such a masterpiece... I don't know why but I strangely like the train sequence where she sits in the train and see those painting-like landscapes and shadowy people on the platform. It's so beautiful and nostalgic.

The train in general is so magical for me.. just imagining deserted train stations in a magical world and a lonely train that goes to magical places.. the train in this movie is possibly my best memory from any movie. It's really hard to explain haha

Oh, that's my absolute favourite moment in that film. You rarely feel quietness in a Western animated film and that's what separates Miyazaki (I haven't seen much other anime yet) from his Western inferiors.

Uki Well it depends how you look at it. Disney’s animations are more realistic in terms of lightning shadows, but thats not really the point for me. I find hand drawn pictures to look much more natural and ”realistic”. CGI itself is technically difficult, but hand drawn pictures are difficult to pull off at all

Harls Williams lol.. im just saying. its a kids film. its audience is targeted at children. its an amazing film. it dosnt need some chessy, awkward bullshit love scene to ruin it, the main charecter didnt kiss no one simply because its not something kids should be doing at that age.. u should take into account that children are influenced very quickly by what they see... would u want ur kids acting this way.

Ah, Spirited Away. The second I saw it on Cartoon Network, I instantly fell in love with it. One of the best animated movies ever (I'd go as far as to say it's one of the best overall movies ever)
