I stumbled across this tv show whilst searching for something to watch on a saturday night. The first 15-20 minutes of the first episodes got me HOOKED. Such a great piece of TV, absolutely mesmerizing. I was glued to the screen episode after episode. I recommended it to all of my friends and they all loved it.

Eddie is phenomenal in this and definitely deserves some award nominations for the series. Watching these behind the scenes takes shows the immense, methodical detail that went into him playing his character, the prosthetics, the lingual elements, the cinematography and into the entire crew making the show. I haven’t seen some of the aspects ever that I have seen in the show, and haven’t liked a series as much as I’ve liked this one in years. I am absolutely loving it and can’t wait until season 2- I can’t believe that I was previously sleeping on how good of an actor Eddie Redmayne is, and definitely think he should be considered as the next Bond!!

First time in a long time since I've been hooked to a series. The cinematography, the locations, and the cat and mouse game is just perfect. I live how they didn't make these character cookie cutter and aren't afraid to show how far someone will go to get something they want. THE MI6 agent and the Jackal are two sides of the same coin. Love it!

I really enjoyed the series. No issues with any of the actors in fact I’m surprised at the backlash towards them. After a lifetime reading and watching spy and assassin stories, this one did not disappoint. Must admit that Bianca’s boss is annoying and soft but this did set the scene for Bianca to bust out and into her role as the hunter.

This show could have been the highlight of the year if the character’s family dynamics were more realistic and felt less forced and arguably woke. There are reactions to the scenarios that are either so unrealistic that they ruin the credibility of the writing and narrative or the story threads are painfully telegraphed and are obvious, saying that I will give them props that the series ends very differently to expectations based on where it felt it was going mid series. After watching the entire making of it’s painfully obvious that the weaker elements of the story were shoe horned in (almost by demand) because I feel particular cast wanted it to be overly political and it really diminishes the final product. I wish realism was paramount rather than unwanted drama for the sake of it. Look forward to the sequel but I think they have a genuine dilemma because the audience is on the Jackal’s side, which is wrong on so many levels and a failure of the writing, unless that is the desired result. In my mind Eddie’s portrayal is way too nice and likable, for a large portion of the series he is the victim, he should have been much more cold blooded and calculating.

People, particularly racist and ignorant people have clearly forgotten that Lynch is MI6 and she took over from Bond as 007 in No time to die, and she carried it over to this series plain and simple. No " DEI" foolish assumptions People are more stupid than you would think especially when you approach 2025. Damn shame.

@user-kk2fb3dw8h11 күн бұрын
Redmayne is not miscast, he’s actually a perfect fit IMO. he projects that calm ruthlessness and also lets in the emotional depth as the show goes on. Just because we recognize him as the audience doesn’t mean he isn’t a chameleon.

@ not at all. The things she said felt off - another political/racial message that is really not needed. You see, most of the people do not care of the ethnicity or colour or sexuality of the actor. We care about movies and talent of the people making them. As i said she felt off to me…. However since i wrote the comment I went and read the reviews for the series - no surprise - 95% of people are saying that she is just bad at it. Are they all racists?! Is that because she is black, or just bad actor - or maybe she just have wrong approach to her work?! However I will watch it after all - only great comments for the story and Eddie Redmayane
