Damp rods will do that, Prewarm them in an oven at 300F for an hr. Clean the end of the rod off better before starting a new weld ! Thank you for another Great video. Cheers

The 7014 may be a DC rod but I use 7013 with my Lincoln 240 and it works good on old rusty metal, welds smooth, nice beads. Love your old cord supply, looks like my box of electrical parts. Terry in MN

Actually safety glasses with a Z-28 rating has a UV coating on them that helps prevent arc flash. You still can get arc flash from glasses without UV coating.

Wet rods can really mess with your welds. Once upon a time, a welding rod was just a welding rod, different strengths and thicknesses, now days, yea, so much has changed over the years. I've learned to not "hammer" with the chip hammer, scrap it back-n-forth like a wire brush, doesn't mess with the bead that way or, use a needler. Cheers :)

my solution to the same dvd problem was to make boxes, about the depth and hieght of your shelf spacers, and then stack the boes on top of each other like shelves, each box holds about 20 DVD's and they are all the same size, so easy to stack against the wall. the eauty is that if i need to store them I just turn the boxes so the opening is at the top so they can then be easily relocated, I have about 20 boxes now made from 1/2" plywood with a hardboard back.

Happy New years and good deal on getting the power hookup down here in the south east it's more expensive to run the solar then be on the grid I looked into it hard when I bought this farm years ago and I just couldn't afford it my bill is around a100 dollars with Biden in office and a lot less with Trump and I hope it is lower when he's in who's in power has a lot to do with what he costs of living is gas and diesel are already coming down and he is still a few weeks away from being in control but I think he's got your prime minister living rent free in his mind for the moment Trudos not liking the 51sate lol but all of the snow birds are liking it they come down every year and some of them own property down here and up there and they would not have to pay so much in taxes if Canada was part of the US God Bless Y'all and have a great year coming up and you will get more done with the power and not having to work on the solar panels so much.😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊❤😂

Thanks Guys.. A whole lota movies there. I maybe have one or 2. I'm just not a movie person anymore. I have a fault of tearing them apart with Bloopers and Production errors and over done special effects AHAHAHAH I only turn the TV on for the Packer Games...and Maybe some other teams. Facebook and KZbin are My Social connections. I have a Miller thunderbolt Welder that I need to clean the Dust off and get some practice. Most of the stuff I've Metal glued together, My Hobart 175 does a good job..
