Our family has been doing them for 60 plus years. But have not tried making them in the RV. We make them at home and freeze them for traveling.

My wife makes a Christmas cookie/pastry called "Washington pies." She uses walnuts, but the recipe is very similar. Oh, are they so good. I will share them...... but I don't like it! Usually, it's the grandchildren and their sad faces, and I crack. Happy Thanksgiving
