Here is my personal experience actually delivering for Amazon Fresh. It was straightforward to register as a driver and once you are accepted (takes forever) you can start accepting jobs.
After doing many many different gig app jobs, Amazon Fresh for sure pays the most at the moment. This is my experience and yours might be different.
Comment below how much did you pull working for Amazon Fresh or Flex I'm curious how my numbers match you guys.

I am a Amazon Fresh user in Boston. FYI - there are two types of delivery - "Door" where driver leaves bags at door and "Attended" where driver "hands off" bags to an actual person at the door. Frozen food comes in insulated bags, ice, in the form of frozen 16 ounce drinking water bottles (free) keeps the food cold for 2 hours. Some people use Fresh to deliver large or heavy items (for example laundrty detergent, paper towels or water/soda. Some people (like me) use the service to have all of their groceries delivered. In either case, a foldable hand truck, cart or wagon (all available on Amazon for $40 to $100) is a wise investment, especially if making deliveries to buildings with elevators. Thanks for the behind the scenes look at Fresh!

They are not obliged to give gifts AND not all companies do it my man. Amazon might sound cheap to you, but they are improving the delivering methods and timings. So they might be cheap on not giving some big gift or heavy cash to somebody that might work this shit for like 2 days then not work for half an year. I mean these type of jobs cannot build a good employer - employee trust and relationship. And honestly, the idea of those type of jobs - Amazon Fresh, Flex, Lime, etc. etc. is not so much focused on the close relationship. Just get the stuff, deliver/fix/recharge (or whatever the stuff is to be done) and get the money. That's it!

The average for a commercial business per mile is: car $0.60, minivan $0.65, full size van $0.70 This includes decades of expense data: depreciation, maintenance, insurances, accidents, consumables, tickets, licensing, etc. Revenue $38. Travel 22.7 miles. Expenses $13.62. A $12.19/hour job. Also, there some unknowns. Did he deliver for 22.7 miles, then drive 11 miles back to Tukwilla from Seattle? That would be $8.89/hour. Did he buy a lunch versus eating at home? If the difference in eating at home vs fast food on the road is $6.00, then he made $5.89 per hour. Anyone that calculates there expense correctly doesn't do these absurdly low wage jobs for it's wage.

I work these flex jobs with my retired wife and 7 year old son. Nowhere can I work with my family like this and get tax free money, which will be written off for gas and expenses. People like DM seem to want to speak for everyone, maybe because he was terminated or had a bad experience. I finish most my jobs with an hour to spare or get paid to show up and have no packages to deliver. There are pros and cons but don't let people DM make your judgement. Most people like him or her prolly got denied or let go. My time may come, but for now imma make that easy money. One tank of gas lasted 6 blocks, 3 days. My insurance doesn't change, I have no tickets, I budget my meals. So redo your algebra bruh.

@@HowMuchBitcoin I'm not sure where you live...but I live in the desert where it is a struggle to grow things. Especially when the sod is fresh or barely seeded, it's important to stay off the grass. And places that are commonly stepped on die fast (look at the Finals matches of wimbledon...look at that dead grass)....Also, you have to keep in mind, it's very expensive to buy sod/sprinkling system/labor. Thousands of dollars. Grass becomes more than grass when that much money is invested. It almost becomes a delicate glass slipper, to be treated with much care, because it took a lot of work and sacrifice to obtain. Just trying to give some perspective

Don’t you get 100% of the tips? I’m a regular customer of Prime Now and understood that a $5.00 tip is required on every order, and I frequently pay more on larger orders. You had six deliveries so it stands to reason your tips should equal $30.00. I hope I’m not to learn that I’m tipping Amazon. Also, when I ask that groceries be delivered to my door, not just left outside, I give the driver an additional cash tip of a few dollars. I’m a bit concerned that you put some orders in your trunk while still having a 30 minute drive before delivering your first order. Think about the customer who bought refrigerated and frozen food and fresh produce which may well be in transit for two hours riding in a trunk. There was serious melting issues with my first order and insulated bags didn’t seem to make a difference. The thought of a four hour block with perishables really turns my stomach which is likely why blocks are two hours long. I learned to schedule early mornings during warmer days. So then, what’s up with you not getting all your tips? That’s bullshit.

Just the other day I saw a 152 for 4 hrs which is 38 an hr but typically you get done an hour early which equates to over 50 an hr. I take Puyallup package blocks for 98 takes me just over 2hrs to complete. You never take base pay wage you wait and keep refreshing looking for surged orders those orders pay much much more. During the snow storm in Seattle there was a $485 for 5 hrs if you get it done early that's $100 bucks an hour dude. Tips vary greatly your much better off with a guaranteed payout.

Do you see the tip amount when you pick up the order? There is a five dollar fee for a tighter window or a free two hour window. Do you get that money or is it absorbed by amazon? Id rather tip the driver than amazon for a 1 hour window.

You didn’t factor in the cost of gas to get back home.. and to get to the place either... I think delivery drivers often skip these parts when considering their pay etc... As well as having to save some money for taxes at the end of the year... Of course employers/companies want to get people on board, so many times they exaggerate earnings and don’t state the other expenses and risks of these jobs.
@erxfav3197
@erxfav3197 4 жыл бұрын
run teldat oh really? Since when? So you get to travel to work for free without risks? You must be very important... Work commute should ALWAYS be taken into account... Only a wishful thinking unaware perhaps willfully ignorant individual doesn’t think of these things... Optimism and foolishness are two totally different things... And this is especially true when dealing with these small of wages... And using your own vehicle etc Only children ignore factors.. Adults, scientists and professionals are prudent

@erxfav3197 4 жыл бұрын
run teldat sounds like someone has a shitty attitude and lacks common sense... Do you know what practicality is? Do you know we’re not speaking about taxes? Or are you just trying to defend your sad little ego at all costs?
@erxfav3197
@erxfav3197 4 жыл бұрын
run teldat if you want to ignore what actually exists and pretend like it doesn’t, that is up to you... However, for sober minded and realistic responsible thinkers, all factors need to be and will be considered. Pretend like other factors don’t exist if you wish, Just don’t try to blind other readers or viewers from the reality of things... The Truth is, most people will be getting the lower end of the stick because there ware not cognizant of the little things these companies don’t like to mention and the other factors most people ignore. Ie commute, wear and tear, risks for your vehicle etc Most people will not keep in mind or save their money for things like vehicle repairs, new vehicle, new tires, taxes etc

run teldat oh and yeah mr shitty attitude and fragile ego, the author of this video mentioned he had to drive far to his deliveries.. this is part of the commute no one talks about.. both money and time.. And if someone did have a less than favorable commute, you would be quite the ass for talking to them that way... shows pretty clearly your character and again fragile ego.. defensive to the limit... Hate to imagine what kind of person really needs to comment on a comment stating something others might be missing... Wonderful character aye

@@erxfav3197 For mileage tracking for expenses you cannot count the commute. For this case its from home to where he picks up and home from his last delivery. (unless he has to go back to the facility - the IRS has VERY nit-picky rules about this) For this video I agree, he should have included those for gas cost at least. Fixed costs like insurance and registration are not really a factor unless you are counting the cost difference between "personal" and "commercial use" insurance. He already owns the vehicles and pays those costs anyway. I have been told .12 a mile is pretty much the maint-only average and that seems about right to me. (tires/oil/brakes ect) If you are using a 10+ year old vehicle then you don't really need to factor in depreciation. Unless the commute to the "warehouse" is extremely long then its a null factor, since every job has one. For the purpose of what he was doing though, this was probably the best way to do it. Everyone's commute and fixed costs are going to be different. The pay/process of doing this job is the "same" for everyone after they get to the warehouse.

Most folks go to a new work location early to find where they will work so as to not to start late. Where is your vest from last episode? Staying off the landscape is for your protection, that way you won't fall and break a leg. Fed miles is how most contract drivers figure their deductions unless you are full time and have a 2nd car for personal and recreational use. I think you made more per hour because you are fooling around with the camera instead of working. At least this time you didn't have the dog in the car with peoples food.
