@@akrinornoname2769 It wouldn't have paid off at all, there'd be tons of WWII-era German helmets in good condition and they'd still barely be worth anything. Got to respect the German people. Talk about taking lemons and making lemonade. As soon as WWII came upon them, rather than sit on the ruins of their doorsteps in front of the rubble that once was their home, they cleaned up the rubble, salvaged what could be of use and rebuilt their nation Not like some Americans who just laze about bemoaning their lot in life and sit around drinking cheap beer and singing the blues. The folk shown here demonstrate how Germany came back from devastation and are now doing well. These folk passed on to their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren a work ethic and never say quit attitude. A strong reason Putin won't entertain ideas of invading a unified Germany.
