Personally, I really love the farmhouse style tables like yours that keep the top natural and paint the base and legs white/cream! There are lots of different options for chair colors either way. I'm sure whatever you decide to go with will look lovely!

I vote yes on painting the chairs. We have black ikea chairs around our white dining table and the contrast adds more interest to the space without needing a ton of decor. 👍🏻

I love how you are making your house a home and hope when you look back on this it'll bring you fond memories! My only recommendation would be to consider recessed lights (i.e. built into the ceiling). I always get scared you are going to bump your heads on the light fitting! Haha
