Forgot my spreader once. I whipped one up out of birch bark. Worked perfectly.

I've been trying to find a tutorial as well. My daughter asked me to make them for her but we live in California and that didn't use those traditionally here. She's been dancing for a while without them but now wants to add them to her regalia. She's been gifted eagle feathers and the white fluff but I can't find tutorial to make them.

Love your videos. Been scrolling threw all of them as my wife and I making regalia for our kids. Do you happen to have a video of making a porky roach. Having a difficult time properly fastening the hair to the base

You stated...rawhide. Isn't that tanned leather? I think..."rawhide" is the skin used on drums.

@davidhefner56685 жыл бұрын
Some trees have thorns that look like needles. Here in Ohio they call them locust trees. Very sharp and very dangerous. They would have made great needles.

great work. my nephew is finally learning to make his own. eventually he'll learn how to make his own dusters. he's learning. with the segment about sinew, there is one place where im at that sells real sinew. ( nocbay.com) its not so bad labor intensive and well worth getting..

@davidhefner56685 жыл бұрын
Please explain something. I don't understand why native Americans object to whiteman dressing and dancing to the drums when native Americans dress and do the same things as whiteman. Why the double standard? What is your opinion on this?
@jaredwoods23614 жыл бұрын
Im obviously not the man from the video 😂😅 but if I might try to answer that, Id say its about identity. Natives "dress like whitemen" and such, because historically, we were forced. Since then, such dress has become the near global standard. The "everday native dress" has been nearly earased from our cultures, replaced by jeans n T shirts. In addition, many indigenous regalia is for ceremonial or traditional purposes, whereas "whites" clothes arent. unless you count the pope and other monk dress--which i dont think anyone other than those individuals wears 😂
@sharroon75744 жыл бұрын
@@jaredwoods2361 that makes sense kind of like it would be play acting just like if you were to wear and ceremonial regalia that didn't apply to you
