I love that this game is getting more attention from bigger content creators. Thanks for showing our stuff off, they do make the game much easier to use.

This is your call to action, go play Resonite So many people let this amazing world slip past them without ever getting to experience what social spaces in VR have the potential to be

Tip for the Redprint tool- if you double tap your context button while its equipped it hot swaps between the Reprint and Flux tools so you don't have to click the actual button

I have a mirror in my world where I have a sign above it charging Mirror Dwellers $2 a min (it's a joke)
@SpinfoilHat4 ай бұрын
@@ReiseLukas would be really funny if you made some kind of pay box that you feed money or tokens into it. would be even funnier if it actually closed the mirror after a certain amount of time until it was fed money again. not real money, of course, just a free to use sketchfab dollar or something you have sitting out in the world that you can put a grab instancer on so you can always open the mirror again

I just need to import my VRC avatar in it, how to do that.
@McMessenger4 ай бұрын
Either using a Resonite package for your VRC avatar that's already been created for you by someone else (just drag and drop into Resonite), or going into Resonite and doing all the avatar configuration / porting yourself. If you're looking for an automated method to convert over a VRC Unity package to Resonite package, there isn't one.

This channel I think has a tutorial or there are many on YT and I think Resonites channel has one too. If you have the raw obj/fbx 3d files and textures, you can do it with the built-in dashboard tool in a few minutes. If it's packed into a Unity Prefab file there is a way to extract the raw parts you need afaik but try it on a scratch copy vs the original file in case something goes wrong. Avatars in Resonite are usually fairly easy to import or create from scratch in sim real-time if you want.

I don’t bother with Resonite, it’s too complicated for me and it lacks of avatars and worlds. It takes a long time to exit Resonite because it syncs one item far too long.
@McMessenger4 ай бұрын
Agreed - it's definitely a platform (not really much of a "game") more for creators / creatives, and not so much for everyone else. Kind of feels like an echo chamber amongst its own community at this point, at least from the outside looking in. I've given Resonite an honest try more than a few times, but I just can't get into it. Unless you're already either a decent programmer, have tons of free time, or are a well-known creator coming over from VRC (that probably gets special treatment or direct guidance by the more experienced Resonite users) - trying to learn how to make anything in Resonite is extremely overwhelming as a beginner. The reality is that you'll be doing most of that on your own - because everyone else that's more knowledgable doesn't have the time to teach you very much (or just may not want to), since they're all too busy working on their own creations instead. There are some resources for learning (wiki + some YT vids) of varying quality, but not that much. But that's just the nature of a platform this small and niche, compared to something like VRC. I have major respect for the devs behind Resonite and what they're trying to make that'll set them apart from VRC - but it's still got a long ways to go before more people choose to play it regularly.
