The before and after window frames look different. Are we allowed to change in HDB?

Yes for the older flats. Not for the newer BTOs which have a standard style you need to keep to. For e.g., my BTO estate comes with dark brown windows and its stated in the booklet I received that grills should also be kept to the same shade - though I do see some neighbours opting for white.

This seems to be a 3-room HDB flat with one bedroom removed to expand the living/dining space and segment an area as a balcony. So I suspect the main entrance is around the top right hand corner of the floor plan at the 30second mark
