Great video. I've been wondering how to make realistic trees using natural materials. You can't beat it. Thanks a lot.

It's nice to see the same Sagebrush I use in Taxidermy, can be utilized for Model Railroads! Thanks for the video!

John, where do you find these Branches at? Thanks.

***** They are available from Taxidermy suppliers, and from other Taxidermists I know. www.vandykestaxidermy.com/Sagebrush-C2533.aspx issuu.com/headquarterstaxidermybigrocksp/docs/2015_hq_catalog/159?e=14754959/10517447

If you travel out west occasionally, it's not hard to find these materials yourself. I'm a truck driver so whenever I'm out west I stop along the desert and load up, I can't see paying so much for something I can get for free

0:54 Some of the woodland scenics super tree material you started to cut, the slim parts would be good for the painting of the trunk to look like a young Birch tree with those little brown marks on the trunk.

you can get the sage from hobby stores like Micheals or Hobby Lobby. The actual beanch looks like it was just clipped off a tree. Maybe Oak.

Did he use foam clump foliage or the more realistic leafy bits kind? Or did he use foam followed by the leafy bits? I can't tell in this video. The resolution isn't high enough to make it out by looking either.

Here’s another great video on tree making. kzbin.info/www/bejne/q2WXfXSXg9SNnas A piece of a hedge to start. A girl somewhere on you tube said she uses the flowers of Hydrangeas after the petals are faded.
