In the cold or when the handle is in fat it will be nearly impossible to take the knife out of sheath, I did several of this kind of sheath ahd this is on of my favorite design

I actually wanted a quality-made knife but at an affordable price. Just incredible quality and design. I can't imagine better at any price, but this blade was on the lower end of cost. For a handmade pure quality steel improved short gladius. That is perfectly balanced with its elegant grip, steel and wood, and. Rare, I will avidly recommend and will purchase again in the future from Almazan Knives.

It is very difficult to make a sheath and shoot a video. Sometimes you forget to turn off the camera.

I like your video.I was looking for a tutorial on how to make a sheath for my handmade puukko knife and your's was most helpful.I'm going to use thick 6 ounce tooling leather and dark brown dye to make mine.I'm currently waiting for glue for the wooden sheath form to dry.Then I'll cut the blade shape wooden form and sand it.While I'm sanding I'll soak the leather in water like you did.Final stages gluing the sheath,and stitching it,finally the dyeing

Love the vid. I make similar sheaths for my Puukos but stitch before glueing. I'd like to see what finishes and cement you are using. Nice shop. I am going to try the glue first technique on my next sheath..

As soon as the leather is almost dry it takes the markings best way. If you try to do it too early (the leather is too wet) they will remain weak.

This is NOT the common finnish way or style to make a sheeth for a knife. I have never seen painting the sheeth like that before and as i am a trekker from finland i have seen tons of knives. Also the beltloop is very very weird and unfamiliar to me.
