Would it make a difference if you didn't use the wallpaper glue even though your using the other binders? I never thought to regrind already made pastels instead of buying pigment (cheaper too!)- thank you! 😊🌷

DO you make your own color pigments ? or do you cheat & buy them already made -from a store ?

I bought pure pigment powder from R Jackson’s art supply’s in Liverpool you have to check which ones are toxic. I bought yellow pigment and read on the packet it is not good to breath in and as I was making pastels which make a lot of dust I did not use it. It would have been ok in oil paint I used ultramarine blue and earth colours and titanium white. I did my mixing in a shed. Not in the house. Hope this helps

What a wonderful tutorial! I never thought to use premade pastel sticks, what a fantastic idea and it has to be cheaper too, wouldnt you say? I must do that. Sorry but most of this won't work for soft pastel art- many plants are not lightfast, and others are not permanent.
