Dream Services International Amalgam restorations don’t tend to crack under thermal loads like composites. When a composite restoration is cured under UV light, it shrinks a bit. This can lead to small fissures where microleakage of bacteria can set up decay underneath the restoration. There is some evidence to suggest that amalgam acts as a pathogen killing agent where if there is micro leakage around the restoration, bacteria won’t flourish unlike composites. Also, amalgam tends to expand a bit as it transitions from plastic to solid phase.

About the copper precipitation with ascorbic acid. You can vastly improve the yield if you react the copper sulfate with excess amonia and then add the ascorbic acid and some heat (I used a double boiler). If the concentration of the reactants is low enough and you also add a bit of antifreeze you can make copper nano particles that way.

Make video
@eruiluvatar2365 жыл бұрын
@@vidhipatel9045 I am a bit too lazy for that and my english pronunciation is terrible. If you are really interested I can give you more details and I also have some pictures of when I did it 6 years ago. My goal was making thermal paste and maybe conductive paint. I did make thermal epoxy with a 50% copper loading if I recall correctly. It wasn't electrically conductive but initially its thermal conductivity was great however it degraded tremendously in a couple of months. I used it to glue the aluminium fins of a thermaltake sonic tower to the copper heatpipes and although I saw an initial drop in temps of about 10ºC once the nanoparticles oxidized it was essentially ruined and temperatures increased by about 30ºC vs the stock heatsink. Another problem was that one of the parts of the unused epoxy that was left in the syringe polymerized without ever touching the other part so it couldn't be stored either. I also had a lot of trouble separating the nanoparticles from the liquid medium, they would go straight trough any filters I had and the only way I could filter them was cardboard but the liquid would take days to go through and by that time they would be oxidized black, a small amount of HCL could remove the oxide layer and I would wash it with ethanol+ascorbyl palmitate to keep them shiny but there was no way for me to clean them well. A centrifuge would be needed and I suspect that even if purified correctly they would still oxidize when in use. Silver would likely work better (might need to tweak the reaction) but the cost advantage is lost and there is already plenty of silver compounds in the market.

Mercury was known to the ancient Chinese, Egyptians and Hindus and has been found in Egyptian tombs dating back to about 1500 B.C India was one of the oldest country using mercury so long . The guy in the Hindu video just demonstrate the Ancient Hindu science. He himself mentioned in the video that he used something to make mercury solid at room tempreature and he calls it magic that how our scared book (Vedas) have such an intense knowledge about modern chemistry. But i think Mr. Cody took this in a wrong way. Its good and like always western culture always making fun of Indians and their theories. And one more thing The theory of an Atom was given by Sir Dalton but it was known to Indians like 2500 years before him. Acharya Kanad proposed that this indivisible matter could not be sensed through any human organ or seen by the naked eye, and that an inherent urge made one Parmanu combine with another. When two Parmanu belonging to one class of substance combined, a dwinuka (binary molecule) was the result. This dwinuka had properties similar to the two parent Parmanu.

Except that model of atoms is completely false and outdated. The Greeks formulated a similar model around that time. Atoms can be divided, and they consist of three types of particles, not two.

Dude I think it’s a cultural misunderstanding. When Sadhguru says solidifying mercury at room temperature, he is not talking about making a mercury compound. He is talking about making the pure mercury element solid at room temperature. What you did is add another metal to it which changed it properties. What we do is make it solid without changing its chemical composition. We have done it for thousands of years for certain purposes. Misunderstandings are the reason invaders destroyed cultures and temples.

If you get a filling done by the NHS in the UK, it will be a mercury filling, they only use white filling if it's your front teeth. You obviously always have the option of paying to get the white fillings every time but it costs a fortune. From what I understand the mercury fillings are much better value for the NHS as they last longer, are faster to put in and are easier to work with.
