You can omit the sour taste by letting it on the room temperature for less time. I do max 5 h. :)

Ahhh thank you! I misspoke in the video and said I used all purpose + whole wheat for the loaf, but I actually used bread flour + whole wheat for the loaf and AP and rye for the starter. But I definitely recommend the whole wheat. It came out so nice and the flavor was 👌🏼

After watching this seven day process and all you went through ... makes me hesitate .. since I live in the San Francisco Bay Area I think I’ll just stick to buying Boudin’s on a weekly basis... but if/when I move away I’ll revisit the idea since sourdough is a cut above any bread I’ve ever eaten.

Yea it’s definitely not for everyone. I wanted to learn how to do it so that I could learn the process and perfect it. It’s a skill I’ve wanted to learn for a while now.
