Thanks again for a great informative video. It's so great that you share the tips and tricks you have discovered for the people in your community that are just starting out or have experienced that same trouble. I'm sure it helps immensely. You also look like you enjoy and have alot of fun making baits it shows in the videos and that I think it is what makes them great. Be blessed my friend.

I had the same issues with that mold. Using the tape is a good idea that I will try. Heating it up helped me also. After making quite a few I watched another video where they used pliers to close the wire form around the hook eye. I wonder how necessary that is. Thanks for sharing this video.

Don't think it's necessary to close around the hook eye, it's surrounded by lead. Thanks for watching!

Same thing here. Plan on modifying my mold to accept a small neodymium magnet to hold the hooks in place.

Can you make that same one with smaller wire? Or does it have to be the .40?

The 1/4 oz size will do .035 and other 2 take .040 or .041

You can pour both the bigger sizes with .35. It’s harder bc it’s thinner but can be done with patience.
