From the first commercially made electronic television sets with cathode-ray tubes, manufactured by Telefunken in Germany in 1934, to the last of the TVs made with CRTs around 2015, these ubiquitous vacuum tubes were the primary way that TV was viewed for close to 90 years. Mullard Ltd. made this extraordinary film showing the whole process of how CRTs were made, from design to test.
