I hope we all know that it doesn't matter who is in the 'top job' because this is a systemic problem -- greed. We have allowed many of our economic sectors, to take advantage of the American people. It's disgusting and frightening for the future of our country. My husband and I will be retiring in the next two years n another country. We are absolutely worried that SSI will no longer be funded. we'll have to rely on his pension, a 403 (b) and a very prolific lnvestment account with my Abby Joseph Cohen my FA. Our national debt is bloating and expanding every month. Our government needs to get spending under control and cut the federal budget.

I know this FA, Abby Joseph Cohen Services but only by her reputation at Goldman Sachs; even though she's now involved in managing portfolios and providing investmnt guidance to clients. I have been trying to get in contact since I watched her interview on WSJ last month

Any lower prices you see are not due to lower inflation - but to supply/demand adjusting prices due to lower demand. You will never hear these people admitting this.

Fergeson. “Inflation is not tamed, the economy is strong”. Why any cuts? They might need every BP for a real issue.

Real Fed funds rate. As inflation has fallen while the Fed rate remains constant, the Fed is putting an increasing amount of downward pressure on the economy. 5.25-5.5% when inflation is 2.6% is much more restrictive than 5.25-5.5% when inflation was 5%. There's no reason for the Fed to put increasing pressure on the economy when it's already showing signs of slowing

@@ryann8348 What pressure from the Fed? The economy of the last 4 years is built on Government spending, government jobs and consumers(which is normal, they spend till they drop). There are still 1.24 jobs for every applicant, mortgage rates were falling on their own, by the Feds own releases, inflation isn't "squashed". Why have a cut? Historical rates are not far off what they are now. Is this nation's economy is so fragile it has to always have abnormally low rates?
