Correcting the guy at the museam. An elephant is either Tembo/Ndovu. Not pombe.

My goodness! The books are pricey! 😬

They are so pricey in Kenya 😭 The cheapest I’ve found are pirate copies with messed up pages
@RazorMureithiАй бұрын
@@ainoluo There are second hand book shops around, just google them, they are not as expensive.

As a Kenyan, I feel bothered by how she does not even tip the waiter. mzungu entitlement at it's highest. It's insane! Why Kenyans make these people feel more important, I still do not understand..smh...cheapster!

Umm, we tipped the waiter?

@@ainoluo 10/0, knowing very well kenya has no tipping culture.
@ainoluoАй бұрын
@@RazorMureithi I wouldn’t say it’s not there at all - every Kenyan I ever dined with here has tipped for excellent service, as also captured in the video where my bf tips at the end. But yeah, the Kenyans I know don’t tip as a default every time.

You can advice her without sounding rude. The fact that she is spending her money in supporting our businesses is good enough. I don't see any entitlement in her. Let's be fair.
@ainoluoАй бұрын
@@afrihension Thanks, I also think spending on local businesses is the best way to support people. While tipping is necessary in some contexts for decent income, it shouldn’t be the case - fair salaries should. Although I think the trigger here is more the “why Kenyans make these people feel more important”(whatever is meant with “these”) idea that the commenter has and projects in whichever way they can. For anyone who is worried about that, in my 3 years in Kenya, I can assure that nobody has made me feel more important and there’s no need for that either.
