Not so much an illusion as cool but slightly confusing pattern in that once you place cards in the wallet, the wallet will expose them with a seemingly overlapping/continuous diagonal line.

Glad you like it! Are you referring to a more tilted stacking effect?
@mikemcnice38686 жыл бұрын
@@Corter Yes, not a straight line stitch but a zigzagging effect
@Corter6 жыл бұрын
We'd need to use stitching chisels with more of a flat french-style tooth profile for that aggressive stacked look -- we prefer more of a straight stitch with a slight stack so we use diamond shaped chisels for most of our work :)

Yep! I love em, super easy to keep sharp and a good shape for tight corners. Been using Weaver's bevelers far before we started working with them on videos, it's one of the reasons I reached out and asked them to work with us! A great deal for a great piece of kit that lasts forever, they actually sent us a newer model because we were using one that was like 10 years old in our first few videos haha

Great design. How about leaving the top of the top unstitched to create another pocket?
@Corter6 жыл бұрын
you could absolutely do that, the top or a side or a top and side! I would just line the side with the multiple card slots, as putting things in and out of that central pocket will wear on the stitching which might fray over time. A liner would protect it no prob

I bought the pattern 2 days ago, and have made the wallet. I have not punched the holes or stitched it yet. I noticed you made all the front pockets and punched holes through all the layers, then added the back pocket, which mysteriously was already punched. This makes no sense to me. Did you make a mistake, punching the holes through all the layers except the back pocket, then lined it up and punched it? Because I glued all the layers and it's pretty thick, hoping my punch will make it through all that leather.
