Dom, for transferring the paper image onto metal (or almost any other surface for that matter) I have found over the years that using old fashioned carbon tracing works really well. It will wash/polish off easily afterwards.

I know its your stock-in-trade, but that signwriting job would have me running a mile, screaming all the way. Extremely well done Dom, I am very impressed. The stories I could tell of needing a pro signwriter during my graphic design days, well.... And I noticed, only background music [no dialogue] when you were both on the rolling machine - is that because John might have offered to give you a 'male-appendage-extension' with a quick turn of the lever...?

Try to use copy paper that was used in typewriters to produce copies of what you write. Also a steel needle with round tip might work better than the pen?

There is a visitor from Canada (I think) who has a You Tube channel “Richard Michael Owen” he and his father restore beautiful E Types and old XK’s plus other classic cars. Hi Dom, On Sunday 11th Sept on Channel 5 at 8pm I watched "Millionaire Motorhomes". One chap was converting a Land Rover into a Motor home. It showed him working on the shell which was rather like an 'Airstream' in that it was made from formed aluminium sheet. It showed him forming part of the body on a bright orange "Ranalah". Can this possibly be one of yours?? Best Wishes, keep up the good work, great vlogs !!!

@TheCNCDen2 жыл бұрын
Nibbler is a fun tool but you could have had those CNC'd, already with clean edges, no centre mark to fill and ready to use. Then I'm biased 😉 You also need an air rivet gun or at he least a drill attachment riveter, it's so much easier.
