what if instead of gearing down what about gearing up from 3:1 to 1:3 will it be enough

Gearing up unfortunately makes this perform way worse. There's barely enough torque to drive the heavy magnet core. So you end up with slower speeds and almost no current draw

pretty unefficient indeed, most vacuums draw about 1000w and your phone can draw 10w at most without any fastcharging protocol. meaning that the maximum efficiency this setup can possibly reach is 1%. almost all phone chargers can reach at least 75% (and thats crappy ones, good ones can reach 95% efficiency).

why gear reduction why not gear up it is your benefit man i am surprised that people want more power and this guy want to create as less power as it can with the most expense.
@JamiesBrickJams17 күн бұрын
Gearing up produces way less power in this use case than gearing down. If you gear this up, not only does it spin slower due to the reduced torque, it can barely power anything electrical. When you add an electrical load (like a light), it creates mechanical resistance against the generator core. If you have minimal torque, you can't power anything. So it's often better to gear down to get more torque so that you can actually power a reasonable electrical load.
