Making the switch to LONG-TRAVEL

Upgrading my mid travel kit to a +2 Long travel kit from Baja Kits! This was a frustrating and exhausting experience but i was able to pull it off!

When bleeding brakes, run a hose from the bleeder into a bottle of brake fluid, crack the bleeder open, and pump the brakes, this blows out air, and sucks fluid into the system, but make sure the reservoir stays full, you don't want it sucking air into the lines. You one at a time, just the front or back, or all four at once, just depends on how many bottles of fluid you have, and how many hands you have to help you.

Tacomaholic...I put a leveling kit in mine and turned around the rear wedge on the spring pack and it making a bad vibration in the drive train....it was there a very little but the blocks are tapered they are 2" front to back...and when I back up after taking it out if 4wh high...it makes a clunk in the mid section of the truck more towards passenger side floor ...maybe under me...not sure....anyone know or have a idea?.. those u bolt plates under the rear end...is there any specific way they go?? And should that block between the rear end be smaller than 2" toward the front of the truck and the back toward the bumper be 2"? ANYBODY PLEASE HELP!!!!!! Tip. When breaking an axle nut loose. Leave the caliper on and have someone apply the breaks inside while breaking the nut loose.

Hahaha my axles came right apart. There's a way to twist the cv and remove the balls that's inside. Remove a couple and take the cv apart. Then remove clip. Put cage on new ones, install clip. Put cv back together way you took it apart. Done.

+2" LT is what i will hopefully eventually do with my Tacoma. Never even heard of Baja Designs. Was always looking at TC and AllPro. Looks like a good kit. Look forward to seeing it in action.

I figure the Uca are uni ball, correct me if I’m wrong, but if they are, how well have they held up in like mud and wet weather? I heard uni ball was the best but also heard they didn’t hold up good in wetter weather, and people say to just go with a good inclosed ball joint uca. What do you think?

I have a 86 Toyota Pickup 2wd with a 3 inch body lift, 3 suspension lift, 4 inch spindle lift from custom tubeworks. With 30X9 MT tires. My question is i kept my oem power steering box and stock damper shock. But my steering box keeps on getting play after a month and i get sloppy steering. What can i change to keep it without any of these issues. Just want to what to mod or upgrade so my steering is its best. Thanks in advance.

What was your setup before you went to long travel? I noticed you mentioned King 3.5 extended travel coils. I'm planning to upgrade my suspension but all I can find are the King 2.5 remote reservoir OEM performance series coils. Am I missing something?

wowcrazy70 with a long travel suspension your converting to coil overs which are adjustable but pretty much every kit our there goes up to 4 inches to do a 5inch your going to have to go completely custom

@@wowcrazy70 personally I'd call BDS or Baja kits and see what they think because you have to think about if those ball joints can handle that kind of lift. depending on the control arms/parts it can create weird angles and stress at the joints which will wear out the parts way faster.

im not sure about the length of the coil overs installed, but when you say long travel shocks, that means at least 4inches lift on your rig. long travel shocks needs drop kit to fit in. considering that baja provides both UCA and LCA, that doesn't clear my knowledge in lifting rigs. extended UCA and LCA means you intend to install bigger tires, but how could you install bigger tire if the geometry of knuckle is of? if you install long travel shocks without dropkit, your cv will be disoriented by a considerable change in the angle from front dif to front tires which will no, in any case, operate properly even on road. please educate me. thank you. PS i think its not long travel shocks

Your tranny is connected to the driveshaft which is extended by lifting the truck.. they can turn down almost everything mechanically by saying it's linked
