I honestly think someone needs to go around to high schools and suggest taking outside training or at least find someone who is a trained dancer if they can’t afford classes. College dance is no joke and you have to be a hard hitter to keep up and technique has to be more than great.

Dancers have to be geniuses in order to learn and remember all of those moves and very fast. I could have never been a dancer. Congratulations to all of you dancers that can dance very well, and that can learn and remember, very fast and very well, any dance moves. Dancers also have to be in great physical shape. Congratulations for being healthy enough to walk, run, and dance. Many people aren't physically able to do all or any of those things. If some of you weren't able to make that cut, you can still become professional dancers after you leave that school. All of you are great dancers, regardless if you made that cut or not. At 16:46 on, I dearly love how these wonderful young ladies express themselves, after such a stressful peer competition, you can see from their facial expressions how they speak from the heart, and though being in a highly competitive environment, they yet seem to exude solidarity and camaraderie among themselves, which is something that is very lacking in our societal values today. So much potential to be a really good series however, here I am at episode 2 and i know nothing of these girls. A good series allows the audience to connect with the girls and see more than just an audition. I would like to know who is auditioning? who are the girls? who are the returning veterans? who are the newbies? maybe allow us to follow some of them to class, where they are from, and why do they want to be a Gold N Bluez dancer. Its nice to know who the judges are but they are not the show. We want to know who the girls are and its frustrating when the audience has to wait so long to know their stories. We need to connect with the dancers sooner. I see most of the commentaries are coming from friends of the dancers and perhaps even family however, when doing a series like this, you must introduce who we (the audience) will be championing throughout the series and understand that we are meeting the dancers for the first time on this show. Its hard because i want to love it so bad but i just don't know who is who and what girl is from where nor why they want to be here. So much is left to assumption for the viewer and that is never good for content. We do want to know who the choreographer is and who the coaches are but they are not the show. The girls are the show and watching the coach talk for 15 min about how he is not the "motivational speaker" type coach is very uninteresting and honestly it was like nails on a chalk board. I want to see their journeys so that i can be excited for their successes and devastated by their disappointments. Its not interesting to only watch them either make or not make the team when i don't know why they are. However, if this was solely made for the Southern University family then I would retract because then i know that I, the viewer, am a third party witness to what i am watching. But if this series is for the masses then we need to know who these young ladies are right from the beginning. I will continue to watch because I think the end product is amazing and the commitment from these young dancers is not to be missed. I just wish i knew who the dancers are and what THEY do to unify and create a great team. :)

Codycole80 these girls are the official basketball dance team for Southern University. They also perform on recruitment trips, pep rally's , university functions and they showcase different genres of dance. The dancing dolls only perform when the Human Jukebox is present.

Jordyn was on a competitive dance team in high school. She clearly did not understand that the Dancing Dolls are pretty much a drill team that marches in front of a band and not a competitive dance team like the Gold N Bluez. I totally understand why she left one for the other. She definitely made the right decision. Hopefully she will be a 2-year captain and help take the program to the next level of excellence.
