For the night series I used my 60 colors Schimncke set with some mixing going on too so it would be difficult to explain but you can watch some live streamings on my channel where I'm deciding the colors for some other pieces.

Yes. It's a big project that requires the cooperation of a whole animation studio if you want to make something more substantial though so maybe someday.

How would you describe making a palette to depict a 'night' scene? I know the colours has to be 'cool' but does that mean it needs more blues? If i just use a lot of cool greys it'll just be a monochrome painting. So i'm wondering how do you depict light for a night scene as seen here in your painting where you coloured the shrine's interior.

I painted more than 30 night paintings already and I can tell the palette has to be DARK ;) I don't know about the warm and cool because it differs on your subject. Certainly it helps when (on the whole) the colors are less saturated and the depth perspective works a bit different. (especially in the city things often go darker the further they are). I don't have a simple answer here.
