Hey quick update: my laptop done broke and I can't edit videos. Working full-time for a bit to get a new one but it might be awhile between videos. Be kind to each other, see you soon.

Man I LOVE RetroFuturism! Especially single wheel/tread vehicles. The first time I saw single wheeled tanks was from the Justice League animated series. “The Savage Time” episode had these massive red spike wheel tanks the nazi’s drove they were so cool! Really wish Retrofuturism was more common in model kits.

Excellent Tonk. Super well executed. I love the retro-future style. I’m currently working on something similar (sphere based vehicle), but as a submarine for Swill. I’m looking forward to what you do next. Keep up the solid work!

The tank feels like a blend of interwar tanks, and proposed Nuclear/Lunar Warfare tanks and weapons from the 50s and 60s I love it so much! (5:51 Kinda Sci Fi but I’m not really sure. They are: SCP, Mystery Flesh Pit: National Park, D.O.R.F. RTS, All Eyes Turned Skywards, & C&C)

Another idea I had for the sphere is a little servitor or droid build. You could also use each half of the sphere to make some sci-fi terrain!

Tanks used to be riveted to high hell, but when they were they are also a lot more rounded off and bubbly looking. Modern tanks are angular and welded. This isn't do to physics but rather do to to the armor material that's being used. Tanks before the late 70's were largely round to increase the amount of armor a round had to punch through by sloping it. They used a type of steel that was called Cast Homogeneous Armor (CHA) steel that could be basically poured into a mold and cast into a shape while still retaining a lot of strength. This made it fairly cheap to make very rounded turrets out of a good quality steel. The problem was that anti-tank weapons were getting powerful enough that CHA couldn't compete without making the tank to heavy to be practical. So tanks started to use use stronger steels composited with other materials. This means the shift went from CHA steel to RHA steel or Rolled Homogeneous Armor. RHA comes in plates which are face hardened for greater resistance to penetration, the problem is that you can't cast it so you need to weld the plates together to make the armor, which is why modern tanks look like they were designed to run as low poly PS1 models. Now of course modern armor is far more complex then just steel plates buuuut that's a whole other topic but if you were to cut a section of tank armor in half, it's not going to look like what most people probably think the inside of armor should look like.
