A great video and an interesting project. Although some of the pieces seem like "no brainers", you showing your work on even the simple pieces will give everyone, regardless of experience, a better grasp of how to make the pieces and, in some cases, show them an alternative approach. Terrific work!!! I can't wait to see the next episode and all the follow on chapters.
@acutabove_woodworkings11 ай бұрын
I've thought that some pieces were no brainers as well but I have had many specific requests to show those pieces as well due to the fact that what might be a "no brainer" for me, might be difficult for someone who doesn't have the same experience. Thanks for tuning in to this week's episode.

Hi Kenny, great start for 24 with a model build. As you’ve said about ideas or suggestions for shows, maybe a bit of a tool intro for a project like this for others that may be starting out. I.e in this week we will be using the scroll saw, the under bench router and even some of the measuring devices you have. (A bit like baking where you have all your ingredients out before you start.) Cheers 🇦🇺

It’s funny how the table saw is the most talked about tool in woodworking but yet the band saw seems to be the best bet for a lot of processes. Back to the table saw lol, how has that incra miter gauge been holding up? How often do you need to re calibrate it? Is it easy to calibrate? Really sick of the sawstop miter gauge and I’m ready to donate it to the trash can.
@acutabove_woodworkings11 ай бұрын
The SawStop mitre gauge is a piece of junk and I hate it. I even stated in my review of the SawStop that for a saw that costs as much as it does, they could have provided a better mitre solution. The INCRA is amazing and although it was expensive I absolutely love the thing. It took a little while to calibrate it (about 30 minutes) but it's been great ever since. I only had to recalibrate it once when I dropped it and knocked it out of whack. The nylon bushings do need to be replaced from time to time but I have found that I can 3D print them for pennies a dozen. As long as you use 100% fill in the 3D printing, they last pretty much as long as the nylon ones do except they are ABS. I hope this helps Randy. I wouldn't trade my INCRA gauge. It's been amazing. Thanks for tuning in.
@randysmith382811 ай бұрын
@@acutabove_woodworkings your review of the sawstop is what sealed the deal for me buying it. I can’t wait to see this dump truck completed, this thing is going to look amazing, I also am looking forward to watching this build happen. This is going to be a great group of shows.
