ty for this video, i need to make a new one for a "Cold Steel" heavy duty cane sword my friend whom ended his life last year had been customizing. The one he was making messed up on me... but I feel more confident going forward, making a descent Tsuka for it now.. ty.

I have always been fairly good at Metalworking, but have never had the proper instruction, or tools to work wood.

Hello, thank you for the video. Question, what stops the handle from coming off? Is it just a tight fit?

Normally the tang would have holes in which you put pegs or something like that to stop it from sliding. You would have to line up the handle and drill a hole as so it lines up with the holes in the tang.

Is lime wood ideal? I used oak but its already split
@JF_Projects7 жыл бұрын
Oak is too hard, lime is a more soft wood, lot easyer to work with...

thing is I have a katana given to me by someone, sentimental....the blade is well made...forged folded....the handle and the rest of its making was cheap....handle broke many years ago...further I lost 2 key metal pieces...the pommel and the ring which goes around the upper hilt to the guard...so I need to bring it back to function...any ideas or input would be welcome
