Man, the police didn’t really have any evidence to arrest the protagonist for something he clearly didn’t do, and now his life is ruined. Hopefully there’s a sequel. But still a great story!

This was a good one! But, I have one MAJOR criticism, and it really bugged me so I feel I should just point it out. So, at the end we found out who really murdered those people right? It was DEFINITELY not the main character. I won't say anything else because that's spoiler territory and for anybody reading this comment before listening to the story for the first time, please go and do that to find out what exactly I'm talking about, but the police despite doing a full DNA search as far as I can tell, they just arrest our protagonist anyway even though they really shouldn't have? I just wanted to point this out since this ending really just bothered me. Feel free to say anything that could lead to me figuring out if I really missed something or not.👍

Hey there! I mean yeah, that happens all the time. There’s plenty of times police don’t have direct DNA linking the person to the crime but that the circumstances all point to them and they get arrested. Getting charged with a crime is a very subjective process. It really depends who is working your case. If a crime like that happened in your house while you were there, I would say depending on who is investigating, a lot of times they will at least assume you were partially involved.

That ending's kinda meh. Wouldn't the dude have just given the burner phone and letter to the cops? I mean, it obviously shows he wasn't the culprit, so he wouldn't have gone to jail anyway.

I thought about it and still don't agree with your take on this. The only thing the main guy could say to the police to show his innocence was that "Some girl who I have no proof of left this phone and note here." There is no way to tell it was her phone/handwriting and not his. Even the phone's background photo is a person in a costume, nothing connecting it to her. Maybe he wouldn't get arrested in this situation every time but I would say most times that he would.
