Hi Holly, I love it when u make your plain soap bar. Your crema cacao is #1 of your original when ur started. The 🍌buttermilk is also 1 of those that I love the way it cures with the specks. Both soap looks super creamy. I love and need every month a plain soap or oatmeal milk & honey soap. I never made any soap that u have made nor my small soap batch I can't make them like your. I use the heat transfer method so my soap still move to fast to make anything so high quality. I think I might go back to making cp again. That might give me more time to making the soap looks pretty.

What does banana do for your skin?
@moriversoap2 жыл бұрын
All in all, it's just soap. It's meant to cleanse and rinse off. I'm more focused on how it makes the soap perform. As mentioned in the video, it adds a creamy feel to the soap as well as the sugar boosts the lather. The banana goes through the saponification process and it's turned into something intended for cleansing. We can't make any claims unless it is evaluated by the FDA...so even if there was something beneficial in any way other than for cleansing, we wouldn't be allowed to mention it.

Hi Holly, I made a batch of soap with 3 kinds of milk, well, 1 was coconut cream and the other 2 were milks, my soap came out sticky and kinda soft and It's been cured way over 6 weeks and still soft and sticky, can using too much cream or milks make it that way? I took out water for the cream part, the others were powder, I'm just wondering if you would know if I used too much milks or coconut cream?
@moriversoap10 ай бұрын
Hmm...I'm not sure without knowing the exact details. It's possible that the coconut cream brought too much superfat to the party, but it seems like there was too much water/liquid. Is there any chance you mis-measured? I don't have issues with the powders or the milk (I keep heavy cream super low) but I don't use them extravagantly either. These batches do happen every now and again.

@RJA123452 жыл бұрын
She’s not using full milk. If you use full milk and no water you have to freeze the milk and slowly mix the lye into the frozen milk cubes. This is so you don’t burn the milk or cuddle the milk. If you only use partial Milk you can do what she does pour so much of the liquid that you hold back from the water for the milk into the oil. I hope this explains it and doesn’t get you confused.
@lab37892 жыл бұрын
@@RJA12345 Thank you so much! Is there a certain percentage like 1/2 the amount or 1/4 the amount?
@moriversoap2 жыл бұрын
Rae had a great answer for you. I don't use much. In my batches, I'm happiest with 1-2% of the oil weight. Even though I use a percentage of the oil weight to get the number, I am actually removing that amount from the water portion.
@RJA123452 жыл бұрын
@@lab3789 if you want take the amount away from the water amount, remember that you always have to keep the lye and the water at the same amount. Soo say you have 20 grams or ounces of water you take 5 out for milk you lye needs to be at least 15 or less grams or ounces to your recipe. Do your search. Making soap is fun it’s a great learning experience. Brambleberry and royalty soaps both have a learning program on KZbin. I suggest getting a book or two. If your new they help. And good luck
