Actually she IS a singer, performer, musician, and song-writer... I am 33 and she is MY FAVOURITE SINGER! She has had a very loyal and dedicated fanbase and cult-following with Millennials, like myself for the last 20 years. She sang 3 seasons worth of original music as the character Molly Phillips on Disney's So Weird, [that is streaming on Disney+ NOW!] She also wrote a bunch of songs with her dad John Phillips as one of the new and last member's of The Mamas & the Papas during the latter years of the band's album releases and concert touring (mid 80's to early 90's). I'm a huge fan so forgive me as I continue...
She sang backup on her dad's album Pay, Pack & Follow, on her sister Bijou's album "I'd Rather Eat Glass" as well as Peter Tork's - "Stranger Things Have Happened". Interestingly enough, the only reason she got the role of Carol in American Graffiti [her break out role] was because an exec has seen her perform with her childhood band back when she was 14. She even recorded the song "Junk Food Junkie" with The Jackson 5 which was featured on their show 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘑𝘢𝘤𝘬𝘴𝘰𝘯𝘴 in 1976. She still writes music with her son Shane Barakan and recently had a performance at Agape International Spiritual Center in Beverly Hills, California. It's crazy to me that most fans from her breakout era know very little about her musical legacy. So far as thinking she hasn't made her mark like her two sisters and her parents did in the industry. It's actually quite far from the truth. She's a musical genius and an icon silently standing right along side her very musical family. Currently she is a drug and alcohol counselor at Breathe Life Health Center in Hollywood, and she is a co-host on her own recovery podcast called 𝘈𝘮𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘤𝘢 𝘙𝘦𝘤𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘴. New episodes are uploaded on iTunes and Spotify every Tuesday. FUN FACT: Her younger brother Tamerlane Phillips has also put out his own record in 2008 entitled 'Spiritual Blossoms' with Andru Cann. I love this great episode of my favorite show One Day At A Time!!!! Starring Mackenzie Phillips from 1975 to 1984!!!! Michael Lembeck is the coolest actor and singer and the most respected director in the entertainment industry!!!!! Thanks so much for posting this video!!!!! I love it!!!! I love the 70s!!!!! Michael Lembeck has had some good luck. He was on this popular '70's show, then married the sexy singing flight attendant from Airplane! (Lorna Patterson) He eventually went on to the director of one of the most popular sitcoms of all time, "Friends". Go figure, Michael and Lorna live in Malibu.

Not good luck!!! He has really good talent!!! Good UNDISCOVERED talent!!! Check out his acting credits!!! He was in LOTS of things, but nothing that was really big name besides being Julie's Husband on ODAAT, Kaptain Kool on Saturday mornings and Clete Meisenheimer on Mary Hartman!!! He was a VERY good, versatile actor but was very low key and he just didn't get his name OUT THERE for some reason even though he had a famous Dad , Harvey !!! Michael could have really made it big as an actor or even a singer in a boy band !! I'm thinking his heart always was in the directing? Because I can't see why a really handsome, hot, cute, good actor and good singer like he was wasn't a much bigger star???!!! I LOVE Michael and I have seen a LOT of his acting , so I am encouraging everyone to check around on KZbin, DVD or old TV channels like METV and Antenna TV where he comes up a lot guest starring on old TV shows !!! He really was a great underrated actor!!!

Yeah I'm like his biggest fan !! I remember him as Clete and as Julie's husband from back in the day, thought he was cute, but I had other celebrity crushes and being young I basically had a life than !! Now a middle aged woman with a lot of time on her hands! LOL!! Well I started watching ODAAT about two years ago when Antenna picked it up, and I was like OH WOW!!! Max had my heart!! Than finding other shows and movies he was in and well you know the rest!!! I LOVE this man!!!!

Great question! Julie (Mack’s character) is pregnant! It’s a suit under her dress. Julie was pregnant with her daughter “Little Annie” Horvath in 1982. Mack had her son Shane Barakan in 1987! ❤
