Colette, your wine and liqueur some how looks a lot tastier than in the stores (even though I rarely ever 🍻 drink the stuff) As always Colette your flowers, fruit, vegetables, trees, gardens are so beautiful and magical. ❤ The sounds of the rain, wind, bird songs are so lovely beautiful. Thank you for sharing and all that you have done and continue to do. Blessings 💝💚💛🧡🤎

Collecting seeds from my vegetables gives me a sense of freedom. I got so many spinach seeds I gave to a friend as well.

The view from the lodge porch is beautiful. So relaxing, listening to the rain on the roof, and then hearing the quiet when it stopped. The combination of colors of the flowers fills my soul.

I'm watching a whole raft of back videos today and it's so inspiring, even two years on to see the changes within the woodland gardens. It warms my heart spending time with you in your home.xx

Just watching ~ brings back to me so many lovely memories of my childhood! I live in the states, Central Florida area. Originally from NY. Both my parents Italian...and, my dad enjoyed making wine from grapes grown on our arbor, but mostly; orange wine, too! My dad grew oranges, lemons (yes, Limoncello!), limes, grapefruit, figs, bananas, many berries, and of course, tomatoes, eggplant. We lived on four acres of land, one acre was well-manicured, near the house...the remainder was left very natural...we had a running brook through the wooded area, and there growing was massive Pitcher plants, Venus Fly Trap plants, giant stag horns and Air-Layers right on the trees. There were fiddle fern fronds and all sorts of edibles my dad would teach me and my siblings about, and my mom would make fantastic salads! My dad even grew Arugula as far back as the fifties! Long before people here in the states were able to purchase it! Must be why I am so fascinated with your videos! In fact, must tell you, one video where you speak of your breezes and I can “hear” the wind...in order for me to feel the full effect; (I’m laughing)... I turn on my oscillating fan ~ just so I can REALLY feel like I am at your cottage, taking the walk with you!😊And, same time, reliving a wonderful childhood and upbringing that has taught me (and now, your videos as my refresher course ~ and then some) how rich I am by living a simple life! Blessings To You, Too, My Dear New KZbin Friend! Thank You! ❤️

Elderflower is covered in natural yeasts and ideal for champagne making...but be careful in bottling as the fermenting can often continue and be a problem!

Yes I have made champagne before but didn't have any decent bottles this year. My wife made cordial which is delish and very refreshing.

thats why champagne bottles, are so thick, and have a wired cork

apple cider ferments itself, so yes apples good, but its the sugars reaction with yeast, that produces alcohol, the fruit is their basically to produce the flavour, so, ime wondering will the end result be alcoholic, slightly alcoholic, sugar from the fruit, or, not at all alcoholic, ive never done it that way ?
