I assume that by launching at low speed you decrease the total energy among the 2 beys, and because spin equalizes they both stop spinning faster, and by shortening the battle you decrease the odds that you get knocked out, start scraping, or have something else go wrong

You said it yourself “If two Beyblades of opposite spin direction are hitting each other, the spin should even put between them” If that’s the case, then the slower you launch compared to the opponent, the more you can slow the opponent down. Apart from that as long as you can last longer after that happens, you’re likely to win every time

2 months later I want to add that there’s actually a similar thing in competitive Pokémon with the move “pain split” where a strategy is to use a defensively weak Pokémon with the ability sturdy, which keeps it on 1 HP if it would normally be knocked out in one hit, and then following up with pain split which brings then opponent down the most and usually heals the pain splitter completely to go off again. But the same idea is there that if it’s about equalizing then one having a significantly small value to be equalized would create the most significant effect between the two parties

I think the reason why Spin Stealing works better when the bey starts slow is because it doesn't focus its power on hitting the other bey but instead (especially against defense and stamina type) has an easier time to collide softly. It's like two gears, in order to work properly they must be close to each other. It's why hand spinned Spinstealing can work, the calmer the beyblade moves the easier it is to absorb Spin of others. Better be careful with the Pokémon figures btw. I can see them break if they stay this close to the Beyblades. My combo would be: Galaxy Zurafa H145 HF

If the spin stealer is spinning faster than the opponent you're not spin stealing anymore. You're giving your power to the other Bayblade. This is why launching slower is better for a spin stealer

The reason spin stealing works better at low speeds is because there's a higher relative velocity at the contact point which A) Slows down the faster spinning bey more and B) Makes the slower spinning bey accelerate The slower the left-spinning bey is the more energy it saps from the faster bey

Ive really been enjoying your videos and you’ve quickly become my favorite beyblade KZbinr, as well as one of my favorite KZbinrs in general I’ve got two combos so I’ll leave it up to whichever you’d rather do The first is wing dragonis gb145 rsf This bey is primarily a defense type, using the high defense of wing in mode 0, however against stamina types which can easily outspin it, I would switch to mode 2 and attempt to KO the opponent I’d say it’s greatest weakness is defense types with higher stamina than it, as they can outspin it in defense mode and weather it’s hits in attack mode The second one is kreis eagle ad145 rdf This is a 4D evolution of eagle I recently designed for a friend(haven’t told him yet as I wanna make it and give it to him for his birthday) that I haven’t been able to test out yet, I was actually inspired by your videos to make this one and think it could have some decent defense in defense mode and decent attack power in attack mode, true to eagle’s designation as a balance type, if you also wanna show how you’d improve on this combo or the general concept of a 4D eagle evolution, that’d be awesome

Its all based on that one hit in the middle of the battle where the opposing beyblade hits the spin stealer to the point where the two beys spin is equalized and since the spin stealer starts at a lower spin rate the opposing bey gives its upper rotaion to it making the spin stealer overide the opponents stamina for that final second and that usualy happens a second or two before the match ends but this will only work well if the spin stealer is paired with a wide preformance tip

So, the reason it's best to launch slow with a spin-stealer is once again the transfer of kinetic energy. A beyblade is a flywheel. The faster a flywheel spins, the more energy it's carrying. If a faster flywheel engages with a slower flywheel, the faster one will transfer its kinetic energy into the slower one until they equalize or disengage. The larger the gap, the more energy can be transferred. The rubber is the key here - the high friction and soft surface allows for longer periods of contact than metal-on-metal, since metal-on-metal contact will typically cause the two tops to push each other away immediately and with more force.

I have not seen pretty much anything of Beyblade since G-Revolution, nor have I actually been interested in getting this hobby and, if I did, I wouldn't be able to find parts where I live, but there's something so alluring about your videos... The chill background sounds might have something to do with it, but this is quickly becoming my go-to chill channel. I can also see the appeal. Crafting a Beyblade is like... Like... Crafting a good Pokemon Team. That's a feeling of theory crafting with the knowledge of physics and combinations that just scratch a primal itch of a mad scientist.

Spin stealing can also work as a self spin drainer. If you're faster than the opponent, you're giving your opponent your spin. If you're slower, you're taking the opponent's spin. When rubber is involved, they mostly try to balance out spin and in almost all cases end up stopping spinning together.

My first combo: earth capricorn ch120-S which is basically gasher spin track with sagatario performance tip. My second combo would be ray virgo R145CF. Let’s see how my combo fair against yours. This combo is broken if you’re using giga flat but since it comes from a zero g beyblade you might not have it but rubber defense flat is equivalent to it in performance if you tilt launch, you could also try removing the rubber on rdf which can make it work as well as giga flat without trying over and over for a perfect tilt launch Metal Face Aquario energy ring Basalt/Twisted fusion wheel E-230 spin track Giga Flat (or Rubber Defense Flat if you don't have it) performance tip

Think of two opposite spin beyblades hitting each other like hitting a baseball. With a baseball, the faster the pitch is, the further you'll end up sending it if you hit it. With beyblades, the faster the two beyblades are spinning, the more recoil you'll see between the two.

The wing fusion wheel is the greatest attack type wheel on earth. it's also heavy {like 50 grams} and in ironclad attack mode, its outstanding in defense and balance. RSF was a great choice for this combo because it has good stamina and good attack. This reminds me of my current favorite combo Wing Orion SA165TB because it ues the wing wheel and has a defensive track that is somewhat useful for attack types

L-Drago Descructor GB145 flat left rubber flat. I think this a good combo i was never involved in competetive stuff so i hope this is good a lot of top tier combo's if im not wrong for attack use GB145 but i dont know of its good for left spin and with L-Drago Descructor i remember it having a spin steal mode so i think that could help so run it in spin steal mode i think getting more spin will help stamina and get in stronger attacks.
