Excellent use of the dropwig to make a better body for the mantis! A lot of people tend to go with the stiff looking body type you originally used, but the sleek look is much more befitting of an ambush hunter. Excellent work :D

Just commenting as a reminder for when you make the community post. The Wyvern, The Wyvern is a lizard adapted for flight. It has two hind legs with its forelimbs being a pair of wings. Usually seen perched on tall poles allowing it to spot prey one frame over (As long as it has no roof) and has the ability to spit similar to the Red and Caramel Lizards. The Wyvern is a bit larger than the Pink Lizard and has a coral colored body with tan stripes. However, in return for the ability to fly, The Wyvern does not have a strong armor protecting its head like most other lizards.

this is a wonderful video! also if this becomes a series i have a idea for a new creature rainspider: a fusion of a spitter spider and rain deer it would eat creatures like the slug cat with it's fangs and stun creatures with it's spitter spider projectile (i have no idea what it's called)

My idea: Fireworms - passive creatures that sift though the detritus in permanent wet areas like garbage wastes, they very in size from small to huge and are covered in red bristles that make the slugcat paralysed for a short while. Fireworms are attracted to corpses, with larger ones luring in many worms, causing a particularly annoying obstacle for the player.

Ideas: Cultivator, a large, long armed creature closely related to scavengers. Lives alone or in pairs within small “Gardens” of flora where it cultivates plants like cherrybombs, karma flowers, and lilypucks along with serving as a spawnpoint for certain creatures like hazers, snails, infant noodleflies, and grapple worms. When threatened or its flora is stolen, a Cultivator grabs and throws both items and nearby creatures (living or dead) up the size of a blue lizard at the threat, or if it has no items and the threat is small enough, pick up the threat itself and repeatedly throw it at a wall or off a cliff. Despite their ferocity Cultivators can be bargained with and are often much more relaxed than most scavengers when not threatened. While they do not accept pearls, overseer eyes, or inspector eyes, Gardeners highly value karma flowers along with noodlefly eggs and beehives. They also accept blue, bubble fruit, and slime mold for as much value as a spear.

jumping bird: this creature has two long hairs on its back that the slugcat can get caught on, the bird will try to throw the slugcat off by jumping and thus the slugcat can get to the right place, but after the slugcat has detached itself from the bird, it will try to attack the slugcat. There are several colors. Black is found in garbage wastes. red is found on the sky islands.

im just gonna say something: mimic if you dont know it will be a creature that can change form like a skinwalker, they act as the species of their prey like a slugcat but with slight but noticable diferences, their prey goes from the humble batfies all the way up to vultures, and btw just asking cuz my imagination is non-existant rn and im trying to make a mod, the mimic itself is an litaral blob of flesh with some eyes and a leech like mouth

I also have an idea well actually multiple the prowler lizard is a lizard that is completely camouflaged all of the time having the same eyes as a green lizard has the same kind of body as a cyan lizard having the air compression jump when it is camouflaged, you can’t even see its eyes nor its teeth. The thing is you’ll be able to hear them. They’re very vocal creatures making a very loud scream, making you able to locate one and they will start frothing at the mouth when you are near them so you can kind of tell where they are, you won’t be able to see any part of their body. The second is the dedorphidon is a raptor like creature they act similar to scavengers they can be found holding spears rocks, bombs, or explosive spears, or even the new weapons there’s some sort of frozen rock shattering on impact doing about twice the damage as a spear You can steal these, but be very careful as these creatures are almost more intelligent than you. They can also dig you can find their hatchlings you can be friend of the hatchlings even creating your own army. Now the third one is a legged vulture. Their legs are completely natural overtimes. It got harder and harder for vultures the hunt so they evolved legs now they can chase you on the ground and through the skies, they have just about the same colors as a normal vulture they work similar to a miros bird when they are on the ground except imagine them with a vulture head in the sky they work the exact same as a normal vulture

Idea for creature Titan lizard Titan lizards inhabit Farm Arrays and Subterranean They are giant around size of rain deer They are slow but strong, have big skinny legs like rain deer but 6 of them, they have dragon like horns on head, they are able to shoot saliva like caramels and reds but unlike them their saliva is hard like rocks able to knock down slugcat and other creatures including vultures, they kill rain deer on sight Slugcat is able to ride them but only if they tame them

hi, for the next part, i got somethin i know you dont want it here, but shut up, i will copy and paste this to a normal post, i just got the idea now and knowing myself, i would forget it the next time it would live in a wierd, cave like system under looks to the moon (under submerged superstracture to be more exact) its a wierd spider like creature that walks on six legs, the second pair of legs is used for grabbing and catching pray, its black with bright green lights on its back in order to look like glowweed, which is also located in those caves it has no furr, that would be just a bad thing for it beacuse water and fur doesnt go well its a higly inteligent creature, more than scavengers, but it can be still outsmarted since half of the caves is under water, this guy can create a membrane like thing between its legs (but not throu the center), and move those like a squid to move fast and it can spit out watter from its mouth to move even faster, on land, it moves like a normal spider, when it feels threathend it raises its two legs that it uses for other stuff than walking and its reaction time skyrockets to maximum it ussualy catches pray by waiting in a corner with its back facing the room (to attract pray thinking the back is glowweed), when a creature gets too close it launches with its 6 legs and uses the other 2 to catch the pray, it than eats it with its circuliar mouth in the bottom of the boddy (bottom center, between legs basically) its eyes are made in a way to less like normal eyes, but more to see heat thanks to their heat receptors, since it lives in a place with minimal light, which would make some creatures not being spotter, mainly non-organic stuff like miros birds (M vultures will get spotter beacuse the laser eyes and stuff), on the other hand, warm creatures would get spotted way more easily, such as creatures that have fur (scavengers, saint), or artificer cuz yes the spider can also see warm objects such as lanterns, fire, electric and maybe even explosive spears, active reffraction cells and probably even singularity bombs (INV egg being an exception) eats meat, there is not many of them beacuse they are slowly disappearing (no food in caves :C ) thats it, thank you (this took so long to write lmao) also if you decide toactually do this, have fun :) even when you dont decide to do this, have fun, its the most important thing in life (in my opinion)

@@Nebulius_the_uuhhhh rain deer suck is completely opinionated, "neutral" is the state for "friendly" creatures in the game as batflies, grapple worms, and mice cannot attack whatsoever, (yeeks are also listed as neutral, so if they count then so do the others). grubs summoning vultures isn't necessarily the grub itself being hostile, and they can only be summoned if the player disturbs them in the first place. And garbage worms and pups also don't harm the player in any way.

@ to be friendly is to be actively positive, at least in this context. And lantern mice and worms are just kinda there, and rain deer is more of a trade, also just because vulture grubs do it out of defense doesn’t mean it isn’t dangerous, stealing spears can be dangerous when they spawn in rooms with vultures and pups can cause you to starve looking for their food(I love pups but still)

Also I have 2 birds for you to possibly draw if you see this: Ducks!! Maybe there’s a mother duck often seen with their children near nests. Father ducks are usually looking for food and can be aggressive if aggravated. If you hurt one of the little ducks in any way the mama duck will hunt you down until you die kinda like noodleflys. If you are able to take a duck egg you can hatch it in a shelter maybe even tame it to help you fight or scavenge food. I also have one more creature: Cranes!! (The bird) they are much taller than the slugcats and are neutral creatures. If attacked they will quickly swoop down to its attacker and sharply bite it 100% lethality and then eating it. I’d also like to think they have a trade system and if given a karma flower or items that add up to the value of a karma flower, the crane will let you hop of it’s back and drop you off somewhere in the region you’re currently in. That’s all thank you!

I use Aseprite, I think it costs around 20 dollars but honestly any pixel art app or website will work, I used to just use the first website that came up when I googled "pixel art maker" before I got Aseprite.

I think there should be something like an omega lizard. Larger, more powerful than a red lizard. Swims like an eel lizard. Essentially a crocodile. Really tanky but ever so slightly faster than a green lizard.

Gods, putting a slide show sideways on comment ideas are so cringe, I barely can read properly - especially when the comment is sliding from right to left than left to right. Are these even ment to be read? Product creatures, though, looks okay.

Suggestion for next time: Can you freeze the suggestion on screen before you start making it? Nobody can read that sidescroll when the whole message is visible for less than a second, and with the text constantly moving, our eyes are trying to catch up. I can't even pause it to read it without needing to go back 10 seconds and try to catch it in the middle again. Otherwise, you've got an awesome video! Love pixel art and the character sheets
