Hi Susan, I have been compiling my scraps for awhile now in the same fashion. I save all of my scraps and it is amazing at all the different ways you can use them. It is fun and no paper goes to waste ever.

I also put my scraps in baskets that way they are easy for me to grab when I am putting them together and it is a fun way to also do crafts with my grandchildren which helps them be creative and gives us some really good quality time together.

When creative memories went under I had a huge inventory so I took page protectors and made card kits From the leftover paper. I had three hundred card kits from that inventory. I have used most of that stock And now I am down to about 50 kits. I had to do some paper matching and enlisted a friend with an art degree To help me match papers. This past week I finished my 20th album ( I am 60 years old) and I have a charity Card making business which I make 10 cards a week. They are all done in the kiwi lane style but I usually Make a title from a die cut and then embellish with brads and bling. I stamp a sentiment inside with my misti Using a colored cardstock to match the papers. The outside of my card paper is 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 and when folded At the 4/1/4 mark. So my card has a lining and not many people know that the thicker the paper used is a Sign of wealth. I make my envelope with the envelope maker punch board and use a special adhesive to hold it together. My only advice is ask the post office if the postal machines will tear the envelope. Most of them I hand to the recipient.

I usually sort my scraps by color so I can easily find a snippet of whatever color I am needing. I routinely use my scraps from a two page layout for a card or two. But I also like the idea of packaging them up together if you don't have time to do that right away. It keeps all those coordinating papers together.
