This video documents my adventure working with an eary 2000's Windows XP computer to record, edit and upload to KZbin. I go through immense pain to bring you these videos, but I think the world really needs to see someone use an old PC once in a while. Super important.

The only reason newer versions of Firefox didn't work is that Peter didn't have Service Pack 3 which is required for newer programs. The PC probably had XP preinstalled, so he probably didn't know about service packs. Good video as always :)

You can download the unofficial SP4 on MajorGeeks, and you will get the majority of the updates from 2012-2013 + SP3 Edit: You also don't need SP2 in order to install SP3 or SP4

For fun, I pulled out and was trying to upgrade my old xp computer from sp2 to 3, and it kept getting stuck in the endless reboot. Sp4 same thing. I connected it to the internet, and over 200 updates later, I tried pack 3 again and it worked. I had to have the most outdated, outdated computer lmao. Double outdated. And then it had over 100 more updates.

THIS. I've been using Windows XP for graphic design, gaming and web browsing until 2018 (PC had just 1GB RAM.. now I have a Ryzen rig with 16 gig xD), so I had to know some basics for XP in modern age. This video kinda felt like Abraham Simpson pouring pancake dough into a CD changer :D

It would change almost NOTHING cause either way - he would still have to behave like an idtiot to prove his point 19:55 and have outdated certificates bundled in those browsers v52.09 and Chrome 49 plus outdated crypto libraries. He might discover though MX5 or various other Slimjet's, UC Browser's programs and tweaks (regarding Chrome SSL) witch may keep XP perfectly usable in 2020. But it wasnt main point of that video Bandicam, Kdenlive 18 and Blender 2.79 still works on XP he could record his screen using it or one of these VisionRGB VGA / DVI grabber cards. Suppoted by XP as well. he wanted to prove his point - and he proven, you cannot give an idiot a tool witch forces him to use brain 1:45 + 2:20 those times were not perfect for some people, cause inperfect tools was what only existed. In past you had to know Opera Mini existed to use it on Java based mobile or WIndows Mobile platrorm i used on iPAQ hw6515 before smartphones became even a thing well except on those Blacberries. Some could use HP TC1100 or Lifebooks or Elitebook some other had to wait for iPhone, iPad and iBrain to be introduced.
