Hi Jen , Thanks for your info on Recraft. I am using Midjourney and Leonardo. I like the ability to create my own style in Recraft. I can't figure out how to make a reference image from one of my images. Recraft doesn't listen when I ask it to have the subject look directly at the viewer. Quality is great on what they do make. You are a great instructor. jim

Yeah - the AI are bad about positioning. Stable diffusion-based AI often have what they call "controlnet" This lets you position characters better. I think Leonardo has it. I've found some limitations in Recraft, though out-of-the box, I like the detail in the images. I'm pushing it a bit harder.

MidJourney is still the absolute best for art, not realistic images, or text but being able to do wide variety of styles and more artistic styles. I just hope MidJourney doesn't try to compete to the more realistic images and destroy what they have built. With MidJourney I can do wildly artistic original looks not possible with any other AI tool, I also love that I can use old versions. Recraft is way better at realistic photos and text, but it will not replace MidJourney for me, I use both, and Flux, I use a lot of different tools. Personally I like using recraft inside other programs, I wish MidJourney would add Recraft and Flux through API. The winner in the future will be someone who can build a platform incorporating "all" the models in one easy to use UI.

I did a head-to-head comparison on Medium. That was my assessment, too. But if I want something for stock images and I want it to be detailed. Recraft is working.

I use all the big AIs except MJ. For work and fun. Recraft is just ‘ok’. It has some neat features and does vector well. But the photography is worse than SDXL, and Ideogram does type and layout much-much better. Also creating a style in Recraft was disappointing, only 5 images?? Near impossible to create a corporate brand with that. My go-to is still Flux Ultra, with Ideogram where needed. But I still have a cheap sub to Recraft to see how it grows.
