The EDNC6 machine offers comparable high performance to the EDAF-Series, but with bigger X-Y-Z strokes and a larger work tank.The typical EDNC6 design employs a three-sided programmed rise-and-fall work tank that sits under the table level and can accept work piece sizes up to 1,000mm x 750mm.The EDNC 6 is also available in a wide tank variant that can accommodate bigger items up to 1,400mm x 900mm and has a controlled rise-and-fall front door. All EDNC 6 machines provide great access to the work zone and fixed worktable for faster workpiece setups and process monitoring, and the dielectric reservoir is integrated into the base casting to increase thermal stability and reduce floor space requirements.The EDNC6's power and versatility are unrivalled, thanks to the intuitive Hyper-i control system, which makes optimal use of Makino's sophisticated HyperCut and SuperSpark IV technology. The Hyper-i employs a large high-definition touch screen with a graphical interface to increase machine efficiency by intelligently optimising procedures, allowing operators of all skill levels to get the most efficient outcomes.The Hyper-i control's capacity and comfort of use are further strengthened by integrated on-board digital manuals, sophisticated E-Tech Doctor assistance services, and an e-learning training system that can be accessed rapidly for operator convenience.The Hyper-i control provides a plethora of helpful capabilities that aid the operator in programming and operation while also ensuring the selection of the most productive and efficient procedure. Optional features that improve productivity are also available for the EDNC6.An optional integrated automated tool changeover system lies outside the work tank, allowing full use of the whole machine stroke and work tank without any process constraints.The H S-Rib Z-axis design decreases rough machining rates of small-size electrode features such as tooling ribs while delivering sustained high-speed jump movements of up to 20m/min with 1.5G acceleration through an integrated core-cooled ball screw. The HS-performance ribs may save machining times by up to 60% while providing the same high-speed and high-accuracy machining capabilities seen on smaller machines on a bigger platform.
