Did oleo mac and makita make saws together? Interesting saw

Hi Alex. Not as far as I am aware. Oleo started relatively late in chainsaws in 1972 and Makita bought Dolmar (who started 1927) in 1991. My knowledge on more modern saws, from late 1990's is vague, so maybe there has been some collaboration. Are you thinking of any particular model ? BTW.. did you get my message on your fabulous video ? It made me smile and laugh out loud as you described those beasts.. Beautiful saws - you did a fine job with both of them :-) You should make some more videos.. really.. Kind regards Rob

@@stridebaad1219 I'll try find more info on those more modern saws for you. Only reason i asked was because youre an absolute weath of knowlege on a lot of the older stuff, thats where i get most of my info for old saws, simply watching your videos! As for the comment on my video id need to check that out, wifi here is patchy!

@@alexhickey5633 Hello Alex . I just checked and the message didn't seem to attach to this video.. perhaps it's because it is unlisted.. Fantastic saws. Thank you so much for the video. The 65 is running beautifully.. you are absolutely right.. virtually nothing sounds better in this class of saw than this model.. you have done a fine job with them. Both are monsters in there own right 👹. This video made me smile and laugh as you described the L77.. I hope the shoulder repairs quickly back to full strength..lol they are so aggressive.. I love them. The 77 looks great. You should definitely do some more videos.. I'll definitely watch them 😆.. here is my email: stridebaad@googlemail.com If you message me back I'll send you some interesting pictures. As a thank you I'm going to do a walk round of 1 of my workshops for you to see.. it's a bit messy but I think you'll like it. Thanks again for the fabulous video 👍🤟 superb. Kind regards Rob 😃

Hello Frantisek 😀 Do you think Makita kept the same build quality as Dollar ? Or maybe no longer as well built ? Regards Rob

@@stridebaad1219 Hi ... as far as I know, the Dolmar and Makita saws of the same types were made on one line ... only at the end were different types of plastics ... the products were then sent to the states according to the name of the brand in this state ... for example, the Makites went to Russia ... Dolmar was sent to us in the former Czechoslovakia ... because Sachs-Dolmar saws were driven here even during socialism ... otherwise the quality was the same ... but for the last 5-10 years it has been worse ... production in China ... but Husqvarna has the same problem ..

@@frantisekpistek2884 Hi Frantisek.. Thank you very much for the information. Your knowledge is so good on Dolmar :-) I don't know why, but to me the Makita branded saws just feel cheaper. Perhaps it is just because I love the Dolmar name and do not like the name change to Makita ! Dolmar is still the best saw though :-) Kind regards Rob
