what is the difference between the demolition and the other makita that has the jammer that says chipping.

There are different styles and types. Some have harder packing power wich will be the heavier larger tools. Some also have adjustable impact power and speed

@@dieselmxtt I just bought the 11 lbs makita demolition at homedepot. am thinking of returning it and getting the impact resistant since they both say 8.5 lbs of impact hamer drill

If homedepot has both options to rent i would try that 1st. Thats how i knew what i wanted by renting different kinds

@@dieselmxtt my home depot dont rent tools. I just want to make sure I buy the right tool. if its giving me the same impact capacity than the hammer drill it would be a better choice. I think. thats why am asking to see which is the best

Ok yea that s7cks you cant rent them. I prefer the really heavy ones for more impact so cant really help you to much on the lighter ones. Also depends on what kind of jobs you will be using it for

how deep was the trench for the bamboo - i am doing the same thing!

I only went deep enough to install the plastic barrier plates. I bought 12in ones they also have available 18 and 24in. Drove by this jobsite after 8months of install and bamboo has stayed behind the plates i installed

When you pull up on the plastic piece near the bit it will not release the bit?.

@@spacewizard69 damn. That's a thick bit to break. Pull up on the part as if to release the tool. At the same time bang the tip of the machine up against some cement like a curb to see if the bit falls out. If it still doesn't come out you may be able to drill a hole big enough into the bit to fit a screw. Screw into the bit then try pulling out the screw with the bit
