You needed to pile the solder on at 11:40 so that you had a big blob of solder to make a nice molten pool, you could then lift one end off then do the same to other end and then use desolder braid to clean up the empty pads.. Re-soldering I find it easier to add solder to one pad only so it goes flat down when you flow that side then just solder the 2nd side. My tips are always bad as I never have a wet sponge, just never seem to have got into the habit. I like the battery adapter much better than craft knife blades with croc clips.😊

The dock was pretty cheap on Amazon and some of them have fuses but they cost more and I was being cheap as usual. Very little of the pad came out from under the fuse and that tip would just not transfer enough heat to melt the solder. My iron holder has a place for a sponge it it is always wet when i am working.
