i work as a technician and have used both types of blade metal and abrasive yes metal is cooler and cleaner but the price difference on blade to abrasive is insane for 1 metal disc 50 plus pack of 10 high quality thin abrasive 20 plus also the weight and power difference is astonishing a pure metal disc cutter can weigh up to 15 - 20 kg depending on size along with needing a power converter to give it enough juice to run where as an abrasive only cutter 5 kg at max if that and straight to the mains no converter needed the metal blade though quicker also has a huge downfall soft metal once you start cutting that in large quantity's kiss you sharp teeth good bye and welcome gummed up and blunt teeth rendering your expensive blade useless unless you get it sharpened now abrasive has its flaws too yes the disc will eventually grind down to a smaller radius after prolonged use but will not blunt cutting soft metal thus rendering the disc useless yes it will eventually clog up the disc but due to cheap cost and high value for money means replacing is a high plus side here also abrasive wheels do not take that long to cut this is pure marketing smoke and mirror yes they are a little slower but with the correct form and care will provide a smooth quick clean cut both disc will cause spark and dust this cannot be stopped as its molten metal forming from the cut also the metal disc can reach well over 100 decibels which can cause ear damage not safe for a large working environment with others around with out correct ear protection the abrasive disc however around the 60- 80 sometimes higher but far more bearable no need for ear protection and safer for larger work areas and the metal disc if it ever broke or shattered thats high velocity steel going out of the saw the abrasive wheel is glue and abrasives still not safe but safer then solid steel they both have great quality's and pros and cons for ferrous metals almost definitely abrasive wheel the lack of blunting and cheap cost make it an excellent choice and for non-ferrous metal the metal blade as it will stay sharp longer blunt less often and holds the benefits of cutting woods and other materials suitable for a chop saw.

Hi, Makita Argentina borrow this machine and I very happy about the function of this machine. The thing is that I need to calculate cost per cut ... and nobody, even Makita argentina, told me if i cut aquare tubbing 20 mm 1,2mm thickness how many cuts I could make. Can you tell me something about it ?
@michaelpeter95564 жыл бұрын
By comparing the lifetime you've also to compare the price per cut. Whats the price für the saw blade and the price for the abrasive wheel? Than you can compare. Nevertheless the cutting time is much more better with the blade. And cutting stainless steel with the blade is better because of the low cutting temperature.

i buy this cutting wheel but it is very bad im only cut a 1.25 mm ss and make up to 10 cutting the cutting wheel is not able to cut any piece more and the technical support do not take any action what can i do for this ??
@MrJackfriday7 жыл бұрын
It only works using Low RPM machine. If u use Abrasive cutting wheel machine and changed the cutting saw, it wont cut as good and have shorter life.
@Precivilization6 жыл бұрын
You were NOT supposed to cut stainless steel with that blade that came with the saw, there is a special blade for stainless steel that you buy separately, only for stainless steel.
@alexisxyz75314 жыл бұрын
@@MrJackfriday No, if you use this blade on a traditional chop saw you are gonna get very serious injuries.

Most akkor mit is mondjak a pontos, precíz vágásról! Tisztelettel: Nagy István

onde consigo comprar esse disco
@KicoRox7 жыл бұрын
Não é só o disco. É a máquina inteira.
@vito5800x7 жыл бұрын
@emanoelcarlos77157 жыл бұрын
existe maquita 120 volts, 15A, 1300 RPM. 120 x 15 = 1800 watts.

@sandman900rr7 жыл бұрын
these videos are so Damn disingenuous, these carbide blades have to be run super slow in order to get even close to these cut counts, only a bran new blade can hammer through that fast.. Honesty and integrity are what get the long term customers. if you was even attempting that approach you'd get your 20 seconds per cut by showing the cut and the post cut clean up on the abrasive saw. I take 15 seconds a cut on my carbide just in hopes of getting 200 cuts out of it..
@patricelebrasseur56496 жыл бұрын
they need constant pressure and feed to be durable, interrupted cuts are bad on the carbide
