She is the first ever speedster done properly in the cinematography. People did not expect much from her character but damn, she did put the quicksilver's slow mo scene and JL's Flash disabled-like running in shades. The fact they made her fast compared to the normal speed of surrounding world was much better option than slowing everything down. Each of her scenes took my breath away.

It's crazy how much control she has over her speed. She knows how to save people without them suffering damage from inertia also its scary how silent she moves despite suddenly accelerating. Love how she humbled Ikaris. That guy needs attitude adjustment from time to time. Best live action speedster because the real time speed pov worked quite well.

This was a simple origins story that did pretty well in my opinion, they’re like a ancient avengers team coming together to stop a threat (Tiamat), but they are slightly reluctant due to their background. It’s a visually pleasing movie and I loved (SPOILERS) the celestials. I think the movie was an 8/10 and would’ve been better as a series to truly flesh out certain characters, but that’s really the only problem to me.

@@1crusty589lmao no she isn’t. She searched the entire globe in 9 seconds CASUALLY not going her top speed. She ran at sub relativistic speeds here which isn’t that far behind the speed of light. In fact, it’s heavily implied in the movie and in official Marvel Studios promotional videos that she can casually run faster than light. She isn’t on the low end at all, especially as far as the movies go

Speedsters in other movies often talk very fast and it's hard for other people to keep up. Here, they made Makkari unable to speak so she had to learn how to use her hands... slowly so everyone could "see" what she was saying. Another point that I like, this is actually speed, no slowmotion at all.

I really liked this character a lot. But, like with any speedster, it drives me crazy when people aren't harmed by all of the kinetic energy transfer of someone with her mass moving that quickly. Think about the damage a bullet does, now scale that by her full mass. Most of those people would be dead!

An entire third of the Eternals group routinely breaks the laws of physics, so I'm not really sure what OP thinks they were proving here. Makkari's movement would disintegrate the ground underneath her, Sprite's illusions could create temperature imbalances if used on a large scale (since changing the wavelength/frequency of light requires adjusting the energy, meaning she has to be transferring energy from one location to another), and Sersei's transmutation should be unleashing and/or absorbing nuclear fission/fusion levels of energy from the environment, since atomic science dictates that nuclear fission, nuclear fusion, alpha decay, and beta decay are the only ways to properly change the type of element an atom is. So obviously the Eternals all have some kind of mechanism, whether it be unknown science or plot armor, that protects the world from what would be the natural consequences of their abilities.
