For pencil and paper l always use the cheap ones and thay turn aut so good love you

I mainly use 2B pencil. Either drawing, painting, even sketching since school reccomend 2B pencils as you can see it more easily than HB pencils (the big exception is when there are exams). I also blend using my hand directly since I mainly use tissue for my constant colds 😂 lol

This is really helpful becaus ei have been procastinating a lot becasue i always feel like makeing masterpieces and my sketches look horrible and i wanna do realism so sketches usually end up non realistic for me.....this really helped me to learn how to sketch...thank you so much!

While I have these pencils, I have never really understood what to do with them other than make lighter or darker shades, and usually end up forgetting to use them at all. My school was super poor and we often didn't have art, but when we did we used nothing but No. 2 pencils. It helped me to learn how to make the most of what I had, but boy, I wish our whole art budget hadn't had to go for copy paper to draw on! I keep seeing how much I missed. Oh, and we were taught to use our fingers to smudge, so I'm glad you cleared that up! It makes sense about the oils; I'd just never thought about it.

Everything you said can be used for us as people. I think too many people have become a shadow of society/social media and have forgotten what reality is. I’ve began sketching a page in my sketchbook everyday and sometimes it looks horrible but I just let it go and tell myself that there’s always tomorrow and that as long as I keep at it then when I finish the sketchbook which will be around April I will see a difference and look back and question how I ever did sketches as bad as some of the ones I’m doing now. She has some good advice within that. Honestly just have fun and let it be what it is and sometimes you just gotta let it go because it won’t get better especially as a beginner that’s an important thing to remember.

Okay so for my birthday al I wanted was art supplies I ordered a few different medians Pastels Markers Colored pencils Charcoals Graphite pencils I’m so glad I was allowed to! I’ve found out that I absolutely love black and white stuff! My favorite stuff to use is Charcoals and Graphite, they make art look so unique! I definitely recommend if I are just getting into art to get a small pack of each median u want to try it really helps!

Idk why but watching her videos make me wanna draw and the last time i did something out of my comfort zone (colouring and painting) i usually keep all my sketches/drawings shaded and grey because i am afraid of colour but then i took out my sketch book and drew a picture from reference but mostly with my own style and then coloured it!! Guess what!? Everyone loved it and it turned out better than i could ever imagine after 1 week i used different shades of brown pencil instead of different H and B pencils to draw realistic hair/bun,now everyone wants me to draw it for them and in just one day i got 45 likes after my mum posted my art work to advertise my skills!! 😄(my friends and family really like my drawings and my skills in fact my mum is gonna send me to an art course) So Thank you so much Mako,you are my true inspiration! ❤ ILY and each of your videos Edit: I'm sorry for a long comment

I had difficulty letting go of the perfectionist side of me, but then realized it was stopping me doing anything creative and I began to feel depressed again which is why I took up writing and drawing in the first place. So I decided to just do what I wanted to and let go of this limiting thought. Now I just have fun. It's great. !!!!
