Lol yeah Jin not understanding why Makoto is trying to make them reflect on all their classes and learn themselves is cheating to him. Gotta love his teaching technique. Also I love banana milk too. SO I think Makoto is going to ask Rona if it's OK to open a gate near there because it might be a fortress of hers. And since they get along together, I think it'd be fine.

The reason he can charge so little for the medicine and the church can't is because of the ingredients. Most come from the wasteland and are had to get for most people. But with the mist gates, it's just like walking across a room for Makoto and his group. And you are right in thinking they were going to steal how to make it. But just so they could make it themselves and sell it cheaper, lol. As for the scan they talked about, this is what they mean. They were pretty much trying to figure out his mana level so they could get a good guess of how strong he is. They also tried to read his mind with magic just like Tomoe can read people's memories.
