Maksim Dark - Kinetics (Original Mix)

The young Russian with the golden touch drops another massive EP on the ever reliable Senso Sounds imprint. Long since lauded by the likes of Dubfire and Richie Hawtin, Maksim Dark returns to Oliver Huntemann's label for a follow up to 2018's exceptional Movement EP. Continuing the theme, Kinetics is a three track EP with every bit as much energy and attitude.
The title track bangs hard, wrapped in a slick production sheen that Dark has made his own. Bubbling synths and warped bass are paired with snappy, tight drum programming for a full throttle tech burner.
'Chainsaw' keeps with the vibe, a super low slung onenote bassline meets precision fire drums and edgy, mutating blasts of sounds.
'Believer' is created from a similar sound pattle, deep spacious synths used sparingly and with great effect, while the rhythm twists and turns around tight, punchy drums.
