Still love it now lol. It was a great show the plenty of humour for the adults to laugh at. The new version is shite, not just in animation, but in the storytelling as well. Take me back to the days of Wind in the Willows and Danger Mouse. Ah, those were quality animation shows for everyone

Yes, how it did not get into the charts back in the 80s is baffling. I remember Bob the Builder's theme being number one Christmas song of 2000. Yet, FS was never even in the charts. Fireman Sam had a better song in my opinion, but I prefered the show in general

Hi, it's from a book called Fireman Sam and the Underground Rescue. It was basically a book version of the episode "Norman's Pitfall"

You would think they would keep the characters just as Steele Elvis and Sam and Penny. Because in the beginning it's supposed to portray a small town village. But now, in the new seasons it's like a big city now! I liked it better when it was just a small town with barely any calls.

Modern day FS only exists literally to sell toys. That's why the fire station has about 20 vehicles now. Is no longer about quality storytelling, it's all about the merch. I agree completely, this show went downhill as soon as (s) HIT entertainment bought the rights.

@@bazbanter9329 They tried to explain that the fire station they had was "old" and that the floor and pipes and roof needed replacing because there was water dripping from the kitchen upstairs. I mean, was the fire station really that old? I mean, I like to think the season 1 through 4 station and season 5 station are the same one except that the front bay door is different. I just don't understand the time gap and how the station got old and decrepit in only a few seasons. I guess they did a time jump or something because there is no way the fire station got old so quickly.
