11 years listening to dubstep, this style of electronic music is timeless for real you listen to it and it sounds like it just came out man I'm really impressed after this many years, my god, fist dmz, then Deep Medi, then INNAMIND, then Bandulu, ZamZam, god it was and it is mind blowing

@conlang know burial sounds a little too chill for me at times but he still uses lots of unique sounding atmospheres which if u listen closely, lots of oldschool dubstep producers use atmospheres and reverb to fill the space and accompany the bass. However burial really focuses in on the intricacies of the atmosphere and that's what makes him so talented and timeless

I really miss old dubstep. Back when the "dub" part actually meant something, i.e. it has anything in common with 70s dub music, it had atmosphere, mystery and deep garagey drums, plus it could be dark and intense without having to be overblown honking bullshit. It's depressing when I see people saying stuff on here like "Yeah this electro dubstep style is cool but I prefer vocal dubstep like Skrillex"... No, this is just dubstep, back how it was before it was sucked of all soul and turned into the soundtrack for an endless game of call of duty for dead eyed bros. What happened?

Barom Really? Like, tell me where to find it man because I've looked around and not encountered anything thats come out in years now that is on par with anything that came out around 2006-2007. Maybe I'm not looking in the right places but I tend to get disheartened pretty quickly after a few blasts of godawful NI Massive formant filter "basslines" squawking over the top of david guetta style vocal lines, which is all I ever come across when looking for new dubstep. But if you know of someone making tunes that still have that hazy grit and sinister shiftiness of dub and UKG, let me know, seriously.

Commodo, Gantz, Kahn (all Deep Medi) Sleeper, Egoless, LAS, Mikael If you find their soundclouds, you should be able to dig deeper, maybe from their mixes and labels... :) but there's plenty more, these are the most interesting ones for myself at the moment though
@apeirogon92899 жыл бұрын
Barom Okay, I had a listen to a bunch of Deep Medi stuff and it is pretty heavy, really appreciate the heads up there! Mala's new label innit so I suppose he knows whats what... Crazy, it's good to know that there's still some serious people still making dubstep. Perhaps something new and interesting is on the horizon... Anyway thanks for making me a little bit less of a cynical lady :)

This is a very scary song. Why is he yelling for the boy to be buried? Is this a mob killing a boy by burying him, or are they racing to get a dead boy buried by midnight before he wakes up? 👻
