To be fair, he would have no way of knowing how fast Kryptonians reproduce. Mala is the perfect example of suddenly obtaining powers and letting it go to your head. Clark is such a good hero because he was raised humbly on a farm and basically grew up with nothing. Mala was a soldier who already had power to begin with and now has super powers. Clark understands people because he was an ordinary person like everyone else, so even when he got his powers his morals never changed. Mala doesn’t understand that because she was above the average person and by obtaining power she could control people even more and no one can stop her. The only time Superman’s morals changed was in the Injustice story, but in Clark’s defense that would make even the best of people loose their mind. The "sphagettification" as they're sucked into the black hole is frighteningly realistic. Of course, with what we now know about black holes, their fate would be even *worse* - circling the event horizon in a cloud of glowing plasma, unable to move or escape, for *millions of years* before finally crossing the event horizon. The original Mala from the comic books was actually a different character, for one thing Mala was a man in the comic books, and instead of serving Jax-Ur, he was always a bad guy on Krypton along with his brothers, Kizo and U-Ban. The Animated Series version actually has a lot in common with a completely different character named Maxima, who also appeared in the Animated Series as a super strong potential love interest for Superman who Clark had no interest in. In the comics, Maxima actually does become a good guy and joins the Justice League International (which was also the JL that fought Doomsday in the famous Death of Superman comic).

@@darkmask5933 I also thought she was similar to Maxima, and I know that Lois Lane is the one he is with, but I think a lot of Superman fans have thought about it. I like Batman and Catwoman becuase both of them are strong, can defend themselves, and damsel type love interests are just bad nowadays. I own one comic where Superman and Maxima actually become a couple: Adventures of Superman Annual #3, pretty good, could’ve done more stories like that. I think it’s interesting ideas to consider, I like to think about What Ifs, I also just don’t like how just about every other Kryptonian is evil, so I would’ve liked if Mala could’ve stayed good.

@@carsenmaxwell3336 Superman suffers from Spider-man syndrome where he only has two love interests that the general public remembers (for Supes it Lois and Lana, for Spidey its MJ and Gwen, both also have a slightly less known third love interest that's like part of their superhero worlds, for Spidey its Black Cat, for Supes its Lori Lemaris, but good luck finding anyone who actually thinks they should be together over the first two). As a result, any time they try and pair Supes up with anyone else, like Maxima or Diana, people turn up their noses at it.

Batman: TAS had a bigger core of recurring villains that allowed a variety of stories and character arcs. Joker, Posion Ivy, Harley Quinn, Two Face, Penguin, Riddler, Catwoman, Killer Croc, Mr. Freeze, Rash Ail Ghoul, Scarecrow, and Bane (if you include New Adventures since Bane was late into BTAS) were a big group of recurring villains on Batman TAS. Superman adapted more outball rogues that were usually one off episode characters. The only big recurring rogues on Superman TAS were Lex Luthor, Brainic, Metallo, Maxima, the 5th dimension guy (dont know the spelling),Parasite, Bizarro, Liveware, Darkseid later in the series, and Lobo to a lesser extent.

I gotta agree that considering the circumstances, Superman considering sending her back to the Phantom Zone was jumping the shark. Before he made that contemplation, releasing Jax-Ur to conquer Earth wasn't even a thought. I get that Superman was ultimately trying to think of the safety of Metropolis after the fact and she was rough with the criminals, but she was still acclimating to her new strength and powers. True he's not a traditionally taught fighter but he does have the advantage that he knows how to fight while flying. Any martial artist can tell you, being able to throw an opponent off balance is pretty important. When everyone can float that leads to a whole new set of mechanics.

He doesnt have too many kung fu moves but He Fights with His Environment which also really helpful and He uses His brain way more than people give him Credit for. There IS a reason why He defeats villains that neutralize His superpowers very easily but still cannot Beat the farmboy

She was a soldier following orders when she was captured. The true villain was the powers she let get over her head. If Superman mentored Mala to be a “good” minded individual the situation wouldn’t have escalated to the situation that happened. She may have sacrificed herself to save Superman resulting in her spaghettification taking down the evil commander or would have joined other groups like Wonder Woman amazones
